emeraldcity Posted April 21, 2004 Share Posted April 21, 2004 Hi everyone. I was just wondering what you thought of my situation. My ex dumped me 9 months ago by email after dating for a year. He then proceeded to ignore me. He never bothered giving me proper reasons or closure, he just upped and left. I decided to remain friends with several mutual friends of ours. A few weeks ago I get an email from him claiming that he cannot let it go because there is a "permanent reminder" of me since I am friends with his friends and that now he is doubting his decision to ignore me completely. Why should this guy require me to disappear entirely to get over me? Is that because instead of dealing with his problems he just blinds himself to them? Is that normal guy behavior, or is that just insane? Link to post Share on other sites

Although he sent a few emails back, he largely ignored the majority of them and whenever he wrote back it was usually irrelevent to our affairs, and completely inane. So I pretty much stopped contact for 6 months until a few weeks ago when I sent a casual "hows it been". Three weeks later I get an essay full of apologies and also claiming what I wrote above.
