I'm not your mother. If I was you'd be a lot nicer and pleasant to deal with because you'd be a well adjusted person. It doesn't matter what anyone says or how fair minded they are or even if they agree with you on some points such as men shouldn't have to pay for women like women are friggen helpless children. These things don't matter if they come from a woman because you will still be compelled to say something derogatory and snide. You don't give a flip about real equality among genders. You only want to pick them apart and do whatever you can to feel better about yourself. Its not even about thinking men are better. Its about your inferiority complex making you NEED the believe you are better.

I have never dated a man who would allow me to pay. They would also never strategize on being cheap with dinner. I have asked to pay on many occassions and it basically ended up with wrestling being the end product if I were to attempt any further.

I do not sleep with men soon into a relationship. If they do not have the patience to wait, then they are not for me.

I accept the opinions of the couple of women with fair views and take them into account. But as I said, just look at this thread. No more than three women believe that women should be expected to contribute on dating expenses while the rest believe its ungentlemanly for a man to expect women to contribute on dating expenses, and this is sadly an accurate reflection of reality. Its easier to convince a man into sympathizing with the difficulty of women than it is to convince a woman into sympathizing with the difficulty of men.

Guy should pay just to avoid this petty argument. I think if the girl offers to pay, or says lets split it, or insists on splitting, then you've got a keeper.

on dates or say your going to a hotel , your views. i think they should to show their appreciation of the girl , at least for the first 6 months or so

I don't. I think it should go both ways, especially in the beginning. I wouldn't want them to feel like I owed them anything but a mutually good time.

You know she is something else if a woman voluntarily pays for the entire first date.

I didnt think such women exist but I have actually heard of cases of women paying for the entire first date in advance in order to impress the guy and show him that she is genuine. I know I would be very impressed of such a woman and I would certainly repay her generosity and thoughtfulness tenfold on the next dates because I would know that I can trust her and I would not need to worry about being taken advantage of.

However, Im under no illusion that such women are very rare and chances are I would never come across one in my life.

I started a thread a while back asking LS fellas what they would think if they went on date #1 and come end of meal they found the woman had already covered all the costs. And then again on date #2 and #3 and so on.

Go look if you're interested. It was chock full of guys saying they'd be suspicious and wonder what she was up to and what she wanted and that they'd feel emasculated and owned because who pays has "the power" like they normally live in some place called Greyskull when they pay the bill.

That's incredible. Yet they are the same guys who complain about women who let men spend money on them and later find out these women are also dating other men and therefore don't deserve to be treated like ladies. You would think these same men would relish the thought of not having to pay anything until they knew for certain that the women only wanted them. Bazaar!

Here's that thread

Sorry I missed it! My answer would have been non-issue. I would show my generous and caring nature in other ways. ;)

In this thread, I felt the OP created an exaggerated example of the 'who pays' concept so responded appropriately.

Yup pretty well express my thoughts about it exactly. Shows a certain amount of "**** it, I like you, and I don't care if you know. Lets make this work" - means a lot.
