I haven't looked at the main website in a long time so I'm not sure exactly where this free interactive demo is so I'm pasting the direct link. Don't just watch it or you won't get much out of it. You will need about 45 min. and complete privacy because you have to speak out loud in certain parts. It gives you a good idea of the method.

Yes you have to give them your email address but that is so you can received Morty's weekly blog posts. I seldom read them but have saved them in a separate folder because once in a while they are very pertinent to me specifically. I'd love to hear your feedback after you've done the process.

Cool.. will feedback.

Knowing what I am like, I will do the above after engaging with the psychotherapist. Best give this thing a fair chance so as not to get side lined.

Takce care,

Eve x

I was trained in the Lefkoe Method years ago though I no longer practice. In my class were a therapist and a marriage and family counselor. They took the training because what they had been doing never seemed to help their clients, who kept repeating the same mistakes/poor choices over and over. During our training, we had to practice on each other. I helped the therapist overcome a decades long problem in her marriage that no amount of cognitive-behavioral therapy had been able to fix.

Since you're in the UK the only thing you risk wasting by seeing a shrink is your time, not your money, unlike in the US where we have to pay. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Well, my initial reasoning was that although I pay into the system (far too much I sometimes think) I did ponder on the idea of whether resources could be better distributed to someone who maybe 'needs' it more than me. I have since rejected this idea, in that, really, no one can determine such an equation. Needs are needs.

Well, I was in tears within half an hour of my initial session.. and that was just talking about general life! Funny how you hold it all in and soldier on when you are a Mum. It felt good to have someone listen wholly to me.

My lady therapist person has made sure I know that I don't have to just talk about .. whatever .. so I feel safe.

An interesting first session.

Main notes to self. I am more than just a Mum. I must try and make more time for myself. I have been through a lot over the past three years and I am pleased with how I have handled the challenges. However, it is time to let it all go now.

:)

Take care,

Eve x
