Iris
Hello all, It's been two months since my boyfriend and I broke up. We were together only 5 months, but this was long enough to have strong feelings on both sides, plus I knew him as a friend of a friend for a year before we were together. We broke up due to, ultimately, not being compatible..sad as it was. I am now, happily, feeling just about over the relationship and am moving on in my life, dating again. One thing is bugging me though - Since we broke up I never heard ONE thing from him. I just think that's darn strange. I realise that everyone is different and deals with things differently. We were both upset that this relationship ended and he did tell me that he would find it difficult to remain in contact. That said - I find it strange that we didn't even speak in the week after we broke up - 'cause he wouldn't. I'm 31 and he's 33 - so we're not exactly young and immature! I only called him once in the week we broke up and sent him one email that week - so I haven't exactly been bombarding him! He was married before and according to his friend (who is also my friend) when they seperated he did the same thing to her. Just wondered what people's views are. Is this weird behaviour or do I just have to accept that some people are different to others? I just think it's quite immature and strange behaviour...or maybe I'm just being too narrow-minded. love Iris x
overseas2004
Actually I always thought it was immature, and not normal, and cruel for a guy to keep contacting a woman after he said it was finished. Your ex man seems to not be contacting you because it is clear that the two of you have finished. And trust me when I tell you it is better that way. My ex and I lived together for about 8 months. He keeps showing up and I had to put a stop to it because it hurts. So consider yourself lucky that he is giving you the time and space to forget him.
