Going with my bf out of state...

I realize this is very minor, but would just like some input. My boyfriend (of 2 years) will be going out of state for job training for 10 days, next month. While he's there he has the weekend for free time. My sister suggested we find some cheap flights and head down to hang out with him. We've never been to this state and it would just be fun. My brother-in-law would come too. The 4 of us are extremely close and do just about everything together. I asked my bf if he would be cool with us coming there, and of course he said yes. But should I just back off and let him have fun by himself, with his new co-workers? I dont want it to seem like we want to check up on him or anything weird like that...

Does he really enjoy his colleagues? Quite often these work trips aren't much fun at all, and coworkers hang out with each other only because there's nobody better to hang out with. He may be much happier to spend time with you three.

I haven't read the post(s) to which you refer but I would say that since you've asked him and he said OK, then you should go. If you're having second thoughts, which obviously you are, then why not call and say something like, "look I know you said it was cool for us to visit but I was just thinking that perhaps you may want to use the spare time to get to know your work colleagues a little better and it would be better if we all weren't there?". Or you never know, he may be being left high and dry on his own for the w/e and really wants the company.

maybe you forgot about this earlier post of yours?
