serial muse Posted July 13, 2011 Share Posted July 13, 2011 no, he's what's commonly referred to as "enlightened". you will sit there and hate every word he says from afar but if you were put opposite of him as a girlfriend you would respond exactly the way he described, virtually all women do. i've met exactly one in my 34 years who doesn't buckle like a belt when you call her on her BS. Maybe it's time to reexamine your belief system. cross posting from another thread, she and i actually had the conversation recently about younger women these days and tattoos. i jokingly asked her what her father would've said if she had come home at 18 or 19 with a visible tattoo. she said her father punished her once for coming home from school with something written on her hand, and told her "never NEVER do you mark your body like that, it's trashy". now see the part again where she's happily married for 20+ years to a successful, polite, responsible man who even i must admit is pretty good looking for his age. I write notes on my hand all the time, but I've been used to thinking of myself as more of the absent-minded professor type than trashy. Had no idea. I wonder what sort of punishment that warranted.
