RedRobin
How does that make him bitter? RR if you start dating younger guys, how exactly will you be ANY different then the men you bash daily... You just said the men your age or older are not good enough so............... Pot meet kettle? I really want you to meet some one so that we can see happy posts instead of venomous posts coning from your direction. Ok, you realize you just contradicted yourself in your own post. If guys can claim that women their own age or older aren't good enough... And that makes them 'non bitter'... Then when I say it, shouldn't make me bitter either. ...or is this just one more double standard. It's not like these guys I am talking about are young enough to be my kids, or even close to it. I am not their boss or their teacher. So that does not make me anything like the guys I am bashing. ...and I was going to say to those guys who whine about not finding any active women your own age... Join some activity groups. Tons of active women there. Maybe jump into a yoga class. There are some very fit women in mine that put me to shame and that is saying something. You want to troll online dating sites and complain... But that is not where the fit women are. I am signing up for a marathon training group... How much you wanna bet I will meet zero single guys even close to my age there? That's fine. 10 years younger is my new 'limit'. Edited April 25, 2014 by RedRobin
Woggle
RR I don't care who you choose to date or not date but after all the stuff you said about men who date younger you would be a hypocrite if you start doing the same thing. I have never said anything ageist against women but I think two consenting adults should be trusted to know what is best for them. Women are not stupid and naive beings who don't know what the score is.
RonaldS
You don't want women your own age. That must mean you are bitter too, lol. Red, I'm still curious about two things: your age and where you live. I don't want to know your street address....more like, what part of the country. Because I don't know where you live or how old you are, I'm not going to say you're bitter. Maybe disenfranchised. Although you do speak with a tone that suggests you haven't had the time of your life dating men in your area and of your age.

Keenly
In fact, men are much more likely to be overweight than women in the U.S. WIN - Statistics This graph shows that in the U.S., 74% of men are overweight, compared to 64% of women. Overweight is such an unfair term for men AND women because some one came up with an arbitrary number for height and weight and its not realistic to apply to everyone. I have a gym rat on my Facebook. She eats, sleeps, and.breathes working out. She's got crazy muscle tone for a woman. I bet you she would classify as "overweight" because a simple number of how many pounds you weigh is missing a lot of relevant information
thefooloftheyear
Well, I'm a middle aged woman who likes to ski, hike, ride motorcycles across the country, rollerblade along the beach, ride horses in the mountains, play basketball, ice skate, dance, etc. And I know other women my age who are also active like I am. Some are single/divorced. Some are married. That active lifestyle is something I've always had. My point being that men are just as likely to be couch potatoes at middle age than women are. And there are middle aged women who live a more active lifestyle. There are also young people (both men and women) who are couch potatoes. In fact, being active is not about age. There are plenty of young people who are inactive and who grew up with hobbies like video games, social media, and inactive pastimes. So you really can't claim that young women are so much more physically active than middle aged women. I don't believe that's true. oh....wait a minute .......In your previous posts you say that the younger people are more athletic, more virile, now are you saying that there are zillions of middle aged Superwomen???...What happened to all of the healthy and young people that are blowing the doors off the old people?...Now they are all couch potatoes and XBox heads...?? And sure...Nowhere do I say that a man is less prone to fall apart at middle age... And I have heard it a million times...Sure, everyone is "athletic" and I have no idea how old you call "middle age",,,,But if you are truly 50 or older, could you go out and run a 5K right now without dropping to your knees? Or could you "really" hike a mountain in dead of summer heat? If you can....great for you....but you certainly wouldnt be an exception to a typical 50 year old.. And let me say this as well...I live in an area where there is an abundance of middle aged "hot" women...They have 6 figure plastic surgery budgets, personal trainers, etc...Ive also traveled all over this country...with a few small exceptions....you'll never see whats going on here...Lets leave it at that... Keenly
Well, you can argue what constitutes "overweight" all you want. They are measuring both men and women by the same standards. George w bush and shaq are both considered overweight.
thefooloftheyear
I said that younger men are more virile and have a better fertility rate than middle aged men. That is a fact. There is no refuting that. That is just a factor associated with their age. I said that younger men have less baggage, which is true. No ex wife, kids, child support payments to make. And I am also stating that middle aged men are not more active or fit than middle aged women. Just wanted to point that out, since the middle aged men on here are trying to claim they can't find their physical matches among women their own age. I would call middle age to be 35 to 65. And just FTR, I don't run races, but I do hike. And I do hike in the mountains in the middle of summer, as well as other times of the year. That is not typical for any age. And I've never had plastic surgery or a fitness trainer. I'm just an active person. I'm just trying to dispel a myth that's being thrown around here that there are no middle aged women who are naturally attractive and fit. I've also lived in several parts of the country, and have been equally active wherever I lived. You are trying to paint middle aged women as being so much more inactive and unattractive than middle aged men, and that is simply not the case. I know many women from the midwest who are middle aged and active. One plays on a softball team and is very fit and attractive. One skiis, dances, bikes, hikes, and is fit and attractive. And there are many more examples I could give of middle aged women I know who are fit. So I'm just pointing out, that men are much more likely to be overweight than women. That there are plenty of fit/active/attractive middle aged women, probably moreso than middle aged men. Again...YOUR experience differs from mine.....That doesn't make YOUR experience more valid..End of story.. And who cares what the "average" this or that is....I am me...And you are you...we are as different as cats and dogs... See bolded...Like you have done in every single one of your posts- you accuse me of things that I NEVER stated....Please show me one word where I say middle aged men are superior to women...Dont worry...Im still holding my breath over the last things you said I stated, but never proved it..... I still say it would be very difficult to find an "evenly matched" person to my lifestyle and body type..Possible? Sure...Desirable? Sure....but it would be very difficult..So, if I was looking, and expanded my search to a younger audience(not 20's...but mid 30"s maybe??), why would that be some type of crime?...Of should I just settle on the same age, even though we are not evenly matched-because thats what YOU say I should do? TFY Lots of gym rats can't do real activities. Yep. That is why I do lots of them. Well, you can argue what constitutes "overweight" all you want. They are measuring both men and women by the same standards. I noticed that pretty much across the board, boys and men are more overweight than women according to those stats. Interesting. For everyone else... I am 5' 6" and weigh 115 lbs. according to their stats, anything under 154 lbs is considered normal weight. Look at the woman in my avatar. I am not exaggerating when I say I look like her. Imagine her 40 lbs heavier. That is considered 'normal' for my height. So, yea... I don't think they are exaggerating with the 'overweight' estimates. Ronald S... I have a couple of recent pics posted of me in my profile. You tell me how old I am. No plastic surgery or Botox, lol. RedRobin
Keep looking Red... Yep....and you glossed over the stat that shows women are TWICE as likely to be obese as men are...TWICE.... TFY Right. 8% and 4 % for extreme obesity. They were exactly equal in obesity. And considering the fact that men still tend to die younger than women... It's not like there is a great case for older men in terms of dating and relationships with younger women. Unless all you care about is money. Yes, they still do make more than women for the same job. Edited April 25, 2014 by RedRobin
thefooloftheyear
True, but the statistics I posted has more validity than your personal experience or my personal experience, because it encompasses a much larger population. According to those statistics, men are much more likely to be overweight than women. Those statistics dont take a lot of things into consideration...WHo cares anyway? I am never going to fit in the middle of the bell curve of any study anyway....so its a pointless argument..at least as it pertains to people like myself and other "outliers".. Well, you are trying to claim you can't find a middle aged woman who would have your active lifestyle. I'm saying there are more physically fit women than men, which is what the statistics I posted would prove. Again.....your A plus B doesnt always equal C....Everyone measures fitness in different ways...Most middle aged people claim they are fit if they can go up a flight of stairs without needing a defibrillator.....You claimed you are fit, yet coulndt run a 5K..I am a big hulking dude and I can do it after busting my ass for 12 hours in a laborious job and lifting weights for an hour...Understand? No more difficult than a middle aged fit and active woman to find an equally fit and active man. In fact, it's less likely for a fit and active middle aged woman to find a fit and active middle aged man, if you take the statistics I linked into account. No argument...Thats why those super fit 50 year old babes are probably shacking up with 35 year old guys.. Knock yourself out. I don't care who you date, as long as you are not preying on/manipulating a much younger woman in order to get that date. I'm just saying there are more physically fit women than men, and so your argument fails that there are no women your age that are a match for your fitness and activity level. Again...get your eyes checked...Im not in the pool....Again....find where I said that there are NO, women that are a match...Ill hold my breath again... TFY

thefooloftheyear
I probably could run a 5K run, that's just not my interest. I prefer other sports/activities. So you are now saying that there are women your age who would be your physical match. Whatever, dude. I'm not seeing what point you're trying to make on here. First you're saying you're not finding women your age who are a physical match for you. Now you're saying there are women your age who are a match. I give up in trying to figure out what point you are trying to make. A chimpanzee could understand this..... Lets try this again... You wouldnt expect someone who is an intelligent person to date an ignorant moron, if all they met at their age were ignorant morons, no? No two people are the same and everyone has an opinion on what they deem, to be "appropriate" for them at that time in their lives..If they happen to find a partner that "fits" them, then who is anyone to say ?? So you dont like it and call everyone damaged and mentally inept if they arent falling into your "ideal"... When you know its just not true...People are predators...What a revelation...I have some more news for you...Predators come with penises and vagina's and they come in all age groups..WHy bother even mentioning it? Its the same logic applied to why some middle aged women hate go-go clubs, strip joints and pornography..I dont partake in these things, but I mean, who gives a shyt? If some idiot wants to drop a bunch of money in one of these joints or wants to pretend that some woman actually desires him...who cares??? But, for some reason, these become public enemy number one with these women...They dont like it because it, because they think it "devalues" them in some way or hurts their fragile ego or self esteem...And I truly believe this is the reason middle aged women throw bottles at these age disparate relationships... Keenly
But you are encouraging women to date guys old enough to be their sons are fine? That's totally different though right? Maybe? Wait, it's the same thing! As she juggles the idea of dating younger men. I can't follow the bouncing ball either. RR, less time worrying about what others are doing or what they prefer might make you less frustrated.
