I feel like most of the posts I have read on this topic are searching for answers on the opposite issue. I have been dating my boyfriend for about 4.5 years and we live together. He wants to move the relationship forward and for us to get engaged soon. While I do love him, I don't see marriage as something I am ready for any time soon. We have both been honest with each other. I am not a huge fan of the idea of marriage. This opinion I have may change in the future, but I could also see me never wanting to get married or have kids. My primary issue is that he is very laid back. I know the fact that I don't want to take the relationship farther bothers him. Knowing he wants marriage/kids and knowing that I am not sure I don't know if it is fair for me to string him along for a few more years before it hits more of a head? Any thoughts?
