Thinkalot
If anyone has any tips, advice, helpful links, please post them here. Several people on this site suffer OCD and their partners are struggling to cope with it (including my own from time to time). Help or advice would help. My own may even has some useful words which some of you may be able to pass onto your SO. Gaia...you might have words of wisdom from you husband too. On top of that, or maybe because of, I realise I have certain ADD symptoms (see my associated bad memory thread on this site). I suffered as a child, and a psychologist last year actually mentioned that it was likely I did, and even suggested then that I do the Amen Test, moimeme often mentions (I did not pay enough attention then though, as I was busy solving other issues, or so I thought). The obsessiveness can be linked to that too. The other symptoms then can range from lack of attention, bad memory, running late, jobs half done, being driven and on the go all the time. Those things all describe me too. This can make it hard for someone without those personality traits to handle. My mum says it was noticeable when I was young. I do not suffer symptoms however which affect achievement, and was/am a high achiever. The other characteristics are /and always have been- noticeable...though I would say have worsened in the last 7 years or so. Merry, no doubt you have useful links on this one. I know you've posted them before, but I didn't pay attention then

Author Thinkalot
LOL! Thanks Gaia. And Merry...top links...I printed out the ones for couples. Not all the symptoms apply to me at all, but some of the advice is spot on. One think my finds frustrating is my tendency to jump from one subject to another, or 'get off task' as he says.
