OMG, I'm having a deja vu! NO don't buy her a gift. You two were/are casual aquaintances, not good friends, not boyfriend/girlfriend. There are strings to you giving her a gift and it's not a pure honest nice thing to do.. I think (sorry) that you are expecting her to like you more, or go out with you by giving her a gift.
