AlanN
My relationship of 3 1/2 years ended a little more than 1 month ago (I posted a thread recently) and it's been a tough time for me. Although I do have to admit I am atleast able to breathe now. We split up because she thinks she wants a baby and I'm pretty sure that I don't... Anyway, my problem is that I planned a little trip next week to the carribean with a few friends of mine to get away from everything and try to clear my head up, and I feel guilty about going away!!!! I've been NC with her except for one time when she did the drunk-dialing thing and recent chain-type email that was sent to about 35 people. By right I shouldn't feel guilty about going because she's the one who ended it, and neither of did anything wrong -it's just bad timing for us. What I'm looking for I guess is words of encouragement.
xeros
Going away is just another part of NC, you shouldn't feel guilty. That said, it's also not your fault that you do, so don't feel bad about that either. Just remember that you're doing the right thing and try to distract yourself from thinking about her. Have a good holiday!
