wilsonx
So I have had a set of daily affirmations for about a month now. I do not have these memorized because I want to keep them implanted in my subconscious and not my memory. Every time I'm going through a rough patch of a day, after I wake up and before I go to bed, I pull them out of my pocket and read them to myself. These apply to me and who I am so you should create some that apply to who you are. Affirmations can not use the future tense and can not have the word NOT in them as they will not be processed by the subconscious. I am Sir Wilson I am powerful beyond all measure I have a stong sense of self. I like myself just as I am I take responsibility for getting my needs met I am comfortable with my masculinity and my sexuality. I am a leader. I am willing to provide for and protect those I care about I have integrity. I do what is right I am clear, direct and expressive of my feelings I am nurturing and giving without caretaking or problem solving I know how to set boundaries and work through conflict. I have a few others that are personal to me but you get the idea. These really help in pushing through the rough times and give you a better sense of self and who you are. Feel free to use these and add more of your own Edited July 28, 2011 by wilsonx

I went a step further and actually read them out loud and recorded that. when I lose focus and start thinking about my ex, I play the recording. Hearing me talk to myself has had great results. Some of mine: I am: - compassionate - honest - understanding - reasonable Those are generic, and then I have a few tied with action steps so i can start working on my goals. For instance: I am healthy because I exercise at moderate to vigorous intensity for an hour 3 times a week. I am steadfast because I consistently apply the same amount of effort to a goal until it is achieved. I liek the action step ones best .
