there is

so that make it ok to help oneself to someone elses spouse? sure the MM/MW is the direct offender. that doesn't absolve someone else from bad behavior who would seek to interfere.

Take a business analogy.

Customer A signs a 2-year contract with AT&T for cell phone service. Is it "bad behavior" for Sprint to entice the customer to switch? Even at the expense of breaking the contract?

In this case, you may say .. oh AT&T and Sprint are huge companies, who cares if Sprint's behavior is hurting AT&T.

Now, how about it is not big companies, but small mom-and-pop shops? Is it ok to pry a contracted customer from a competitor?

Now, how about bf/gf? If i like a girl, I am NOT obligated to stay away even if she has a bf. After all, the bf does not OWN her, right?

So it is a continuum. What if I know a couple is separated?

What about if I know they are unhappy?

The ONLY clear line here is that the OM/OW is NOT breaching any contract nor breaking any promises.

Well gosh, I suppose you're right. :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Maybe we should have waited until the scumbag had gone into a modern office building/skyscraper then hijacked a plane and flown it into that building - killing THOUSANDS of innocent people - in front of millions of innocent bystanders while it was televised all over the world. Would that have been better than doing it in front of the few "innocent" bystanders in the room at the time? And golly, how innocent can those bystanders really BE if they were in the company of an insane piece of sh*t who engineered the death of THOUSANDS of innocent people, hmm?

You should write to our Congress and President and let them know you didn't approve of the way this dirtbag's death was handled. I'm sure they'll keep your opinion in mind when they're chasing down the next terrorist whose committed crimes against humanity, yes sir!

Good Christ.

Couldn't agree more Woman in Blue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OR..........

How about MODERN DAY "Vows" that people take.

They don't always say ONLY YOU.... Nowhere in a recent wedding that I attended did the preacher say "Cleve only to her/him" "Foresaking All Others".....are we supposed to ASSUME that when you marry it means this? (& we all know what ASS U ME Means...now don't we?)

Also, I've been married 31 years & nowhere on the "Contracted Marriage License/Certificate" (or thingie I signed in front of MY preacher that married me 31 years ago) does it say ONLY THEM....ONLY....

AND.....If the husband cheats & the wife isn't bothered by that because of the cush lifestyle he provides - then so be it. HE BROKE THE MARRIAGE CONTRACT? - according to this line of discussion here - he did - I say Poo!!

Not stirring the pot - Just a little food for thought for those of you that think the world is ALWAYS & ONLY........ BLACK & WHITE:D

That's business. You can't compare matters of the heart and being *****ty to someone to business. The analogy doesn't work

You have no point other than to come into the infidelity forum to justify lousy behavior

There point is to defend their inglorious behavior. To be proud of the fact you're sleeping around is disgusting enough; to then flout about it to others and be as insensitive as those on the opposite side have been is quite troubling.

Tell you what. Take you new age hippie bull**** elsewhere. This is a place for advice for those were betrayed in the coldest of manners. If you have nothing to add in aiding their recovery, then get gone to your little hole of vipers.

Of course you can. I just did.

Dating is a matter of heart. Marriage is a LEGAL contract with LEGAL consequences. Ironically, infidelity itself is NOT illegal.

Plus, i also have examples from dating, not just business.

But back to the issue. Going after a marriage person is breaking NO CONTRACT. Whether it is "bad" or "unacceptable" behavior depends on the view point and the culture.

For example, in this other article, being a "second wife" (i.e. mistress) is quite common in China and i highly doubt those girls (and their family, and their men, and society) are condemned by society.

China also has one of the worst humanitarian records of any country. Your comparison is fail.

You just don't get it, do you? You just said yourself "going after married people." How inglorious. Grow up. It's not all me, me, me. There are 6 billion people on the planet, and if you're not strong enough to find one who's single then you have no point dating at all.

Reflection comes from within. Pay attention and your own weaknesses will become apparent. Then again, most of "you people" tend to only look outward and rail against those already harmed by your atrocious actions. Your inability to accept a portion of the blame is outrageous.

LOL .. a bunch of ranting against cheating with NO LOGIC at all.

All i said is that the third person is NOT breaking any marriage contract. Care to dispute that?

And i also said that whether a behavior is unaccepted is cultural dependent. You can call the chinese by whatever names you pleases, but you cannot deny they are not a culture.

I made NO JUDGMENT about whether this behavior is bad based on YOUR PERSONAL OPINION. You have the full right to think that it is evil.

But you cannot deny there EXIST people who have a different opinion. Are you denying that?

No, you're saying there's justification for the OM/OW because they aren't breaking a contract.

Where do you live? Beijing? Or NYC? I'd be willing to bet you've neither been to China or have plans on visitting China. China is an infested, overpolluted country. Christ they had to ban driving in Beijing for weeks before the olympic games so they could improve air quality.

When you're making a cultural comparison it helps to take into account all the factors; not one lame ass article you found and seek to justify your own social inadequacies with. If you feel it's ok to cheat, move to china.

Marriage contracts aside, it's in your control whom you know. And knowing, dating and loving someone who is willingly betraying someone else speaks volumes about that persons character. Guilty by association, is it not?

Again, I say, it's not all me me me. 6 billion. Even MATH is on my side, wether you like it or not.

No. Find the sentence where i said it is justified. You cannot because i did not say it.

And what i say is OM/OW ARE NOT BREAKING A CONTRACT. PERIOD. NOTHING ELSE. No justification. No nothing.

Yeah, i figure many are here to rant on cheaters and nothing else. They are not interested in facts, reasoning, logic, or any of those sane stuff.

If you don't say "cheating is evil" every 2 sentences, you will be the bad guy.

Interesting social phenomenon though.

Here's a thought tho.

Here in the US, most people do tend to feel that "cheating is wrong".

You post a link to an article trying to claim that "cheating is OK in China"...what other response did you expect from a website which is predominately populated by U.S. posters?

Were you expecting some different "social phenomena"?

So then please elaborate and explain how cheating has any positive effects????

No. But read the thread. One guy was saying it is the fault of the mistress trying to "marry up". That is an interesting viewpoint.

It is an interesting exchange anyway.
