stillafool
Curvy means shape and is not related to weight. Thank you. Finally the correct definition.
iris219
This post was interesting because when I saw the photos posted by the OP I thought, well that’s not fair. Who’s going to pick a random fat lady over a beautiful actress with a great body? A few did, which surprised me. I think a lot of men have a body preference (just like women do), but that doesn’t mean they can’t find a girl with a different body type attractive. Has anyone mentioned Jessica Biel yet? Now she has a great body. She’s athletic with curves. I like tight bodies, on men and women. I'm not into a lot flab and jiggle. In my opinion, it’s hard to pull off curvy. You have to have a pretty face and be tight (vs. flabby, which is hard). That’s why a lot of “curvy” girls are really just girls who are out of shape. If a girl has a beautiful face, I don’t think body type matters as much--skinny or curvy, she will get men.
thatone
that's exactly what i was thinking, lol... "if you don't jiggle a little when you walk, you're too skinny" and i don't think the swimsuit model types are unattractive (except for the ones who are too muscular, i don't like defined abdominal muscle on women, for example), i just prefer a little more weight on women, especially in the hips. But you’re supposed to jiggle in the right places. Butts and boobs move. Upper arms and stomachs shouldn’t be flopping all over the place.
Chocolat
The false dichotomy here is that women are either curvy or slender. By framing this way, it implies that curvy, as the opposite of slender, is fat. It also implies that women can't be both slender and curvy, yet several of the examples posted as the "ideal" have been just that.

Pierre
Here is curvy and fat. This is a huge rear! However, she manages to maintain a decent waist. http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTebCCPIbLQGJWr_jgmRSG0rwkFPeqGmrF6NTSKtcj5gABORdh8
grkBoy
Every girl is different. Only things I see guys complain about in general is when the woman is very obese or does other things to "ugly herself up", like chop her hair all short.

Almond_Joy
I do, and millions of other men as well. There's a certain way that women are supposed to be. No there's not! Just like there's not **a** certain way men are supposed to be. People are born in too many shapes and sizes to neatly fit in one category or the other. There are certain characteristics, I think, that are universally appealing though. Like on a woman, supple skin, no visible bone protrusion, and no visible muscle definition (except maybe in a flexed calf) are things that, in my experience, men factor a whole lot into a woman's attractiveness. For men, I notice a majority of women are attracted to defined jawlines, and broad shoulders.....the rest they seem to be pretty lenient on, unless they're overweight/obese lol. I've always admired Jessica Beil's bod - that's one (of many!) great female physique.
Hot Chick
I think that most men prefer some muscle definition because it shows she is at least somewhat active. If a woman has NO muscle tone, she is probably leads a very sedentary lifestyle and most men I've dated aren't into that. Maybe the men who sit around playing video games and watching TV all day as their preferred activity of choice are the ones who prefer "no" muscle tone on women...hmmm.... Hot Chick
Yeah he states that men prefer "no" muscle tone then says he really likes Jessica Biel's body? LOL Yes no muscle tone there!
somedude81
Men don't like "buff" women. That's probably what he meant by muscle tone. Also a defined 6-pack on a woman is gross.
Stockalone
Okay, we've talked about faces, but let's talk about bodies on women. When I say curvy, I mean this....taken from a Maxim shot Or Lean like this lady from BURN NOTICE Since we are talking about body types, I prefer the curvy one over that of Gabrielle Anwar. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_q5f_jSM9UWE/SybU_ht338I/AAAAAAAAAQ0/9GyCUlUGk1o/s640/Skinny+vs+Curvy+Malia+Sarai.jpg I like the woman on the right, but also find the one in the middle attractive. The one on the left isn't my type. IMO Gabrielle Anwar used to be far more attractive when she was younger (when she was less "athletic", and had much better skin). Has anyone mentioned Jessica Biel yet? Now she has a great body. She’s athletic with curves. I like tight bodies, on men and women. I'm not into a lot flab and jiggle. I find it interesting that she gets mentioned so often. I don't find Jessica Biel attractive at all. People really do like different things. Yeah he states that men prefer "no" muscle tone then says he really likes Jessica Biel's body? LOL Yes no muscle tone there! I think that Almond_Joy is a woman. Which would mean that she as a woman likes the body of Jessica Biel, but believes that men prefer women with no muscle tone. I think that most men prefer some muscle definition because it shows she is at least somewhat active. You might be onto something. That said, whether I was a (fat) couch potato or fit athlete had no influence in my taste in women. I never was into women who looked like Jessica Biel. That's what I meant - like most guys I meet don't want a woman to be cut, have washboard abs and thick corded arms with biceps/triceps/whatever jutting out all over the place and things like that. I'm a girl, btw. And me admiring Jessica Biel's body isn't a contradiction. I'm not saying she's the one ideal or the standard or whatever. I just happen to like hers. I also like Scarlett Johannson, and Natalie Portman's, and Kim Kardashian....I admire a lot of women's physiques lol.
Hot Chick
This is a clip of a new show coming out. I think the brunette is really pretty but she needs to lose about 15 pounds. She is curvy and surely gets a lot of attention, but she looks really chunky to me. Even though she probably isn't overweight, her height with the chunky face and huge boobs make her look chubster. I didn't say she was average looking. I said she had an average body type, as in not skinny and not fat. But really I was MUCH more interested in the sexy man in the clip. That's Kat Dennings. And IMO, she doesn't need to lose weight. The girl in question seems to have an average body type. A while ago, some topless pics of her were leaked. As far as I am concerned, her body did not look average. I really don't know because I was too busy looking at the hot dude on the left with the grey hat. Very hot. . Women are so easily distracted...
Hot Chick
Wow I really think all it takes is a huge set of boobs for guys to find a woman hot. This thread is making me feel thin and fit, though, if this chick Kat is seen as hot! She's a bigger sized gal! I think she's put on weight since the photo in the shorts and top...she definitely looks heftier in the waitress show. Edited August 3, 2011 by Hot Chick

I think perhaps men (some) have more realistic views when it comes to a woman's face/physique. Boobs in general, will always draw in male attention regardless.
