LK30
I don't know if you believe in coincidences but split up with ex gf in Jan 2010 and weirdly I drove past her yesterday (which is always a possibility as we live near each other), and then today I saw her best friend in a shop for the first time too since we split!! I said hi to her best friend, and she was really friendly, then I left shortly after as she was being served at the till, but of all places to see her it was the most unusual shop (it sells only balloons) and in a really remote location on an industrial estate!! Is this coincidence or fate. I really wanted her to say 'she still misses you' as I walked out of the shop!! So today I feel quite low, and anxious that I shouldn't have even batted an eye lid bearing in mind it was a year and a half ago. For all the hassle I've had meeting women since (or lack of) I wish I could have worked things out with my ex as it was me who broke it off with her.
Zaphod B
Coincedence. I've had two remarkable ones that resulted in nothing 1) Online romance with a woman. She dedicated two songs to me. I went shopping and both those songs played back to back on the radio at the supermarket. A few weeks later we'd "broken up". 2) Walking down the street; ran into an old work colleague, one I hadn't seen in ten years. We stopped to talk. part of the conversation went like this: Me: Hey, what was the name of that guy we used to have tea breaks with? He used to work in another department from us. Him: Ummm... was it John? Me: No, he was a real Star Trek nut and used to talk about it all the time. Him: Ohhh... ah yeah, I think I know the guy you're talking about. Ummmm...' Me: That guy right there! And I point to him as he comes walking down the road towards us. So the three of us stand there on the side of the road for a few minutes, talking to each other, then go our own seperate ways without even exchanging business cards, phone numbers or email addresses.' True story. Incredible coincedence, yet nothing came of it. There was obviously no devine intervention or fate working there. Coincedence is coincedence. I think it's wishful thinking to read things into it.
