My question is to the men out there or women who have experience being the girl in question. Do guys like the outdoorsy girls? I ask because that is what I am, lol, I ride horses, love to take my dog through the forest preserve and growing up my dad was a football coach and my brother played so I like playing catch with friends. You always hear about guys not liking "one of the guys" but what are your thoughts? Oh and physically I have blonde hair that is a little above my shoulders like Brooklyn Decker's I am 5'3" and naturally have a large chest (34DD) small waist and bigger hips but nothing beyonce like! I consider myself between curvy and thin because I am only 117lbs but do have a chest and hips. Thoughts?

How old are you and have you ever had a BF?

And if you had a BF, why are you even asking if guys like this type.... ?????????????????????

I am 21 I have had a BF I'd say 2 serious relationships but I've dated only about 5-6 other guys, I am studying to be a vet so it takes up a lot of time! lol. I am asking about this type because where I grew up guys HATED girls like me, we were the outcasts or whatever. They liked the rail skinny cheerleader. Just wondering if guys actually do like girls that do more than walk on a tredmill, that's all! And Professor X I love your screen name, not to be a dork but I read the X-Men comics and LOVED the last movie that came out! :)

Whats your number?

You're too sweet! Thanks for making my day! :D

consider where you live, and do things around where other people enjoy the same things that you do.

i'm in the opposite scenario, i'm a city person, and not apologetic about it. but i live in a state known for the scenery and outdoor activities so naturally i don't meet many women here who are city people like me.

so i searched elsewhere, simple as that.

It depends on the guy. There are guys who don't like going outdoors or do sports. Personally I like running through nature, my last vacation in May was in the Alps in Europe where I ran every day in the mountains, through valleys, meadows and around clear blue-green lakes. Although currently I'm injured at home due to overuse of my knee, so I can't run at the moment until my knee has fully healed, which has me down a bit, but I'm still doing fitness and exercises to fix my knee so that I can go out running again.

Would I like to have a girl with me when I am outdoors? I think so yeah. I can see the romance in having a picnic in a meadow in a valley, making love in a flower field or riding on horses together through nature.

For some of us it's a requirement that a girl knows how to camp and fish/hunt :p

So you're 21 and dated so far 5-6 (which is not a bad number at all considering 2 of them turned into a serious RS) and you think guys are not into it? There are plenty of guys who like what you do and plenty who don't.

Thank you thank you! You're not a dork for liking x-men (well, I'm not the person to judge, haha); But I'm afraid we're among the few people who actually think that the movie was good, haha :p

You've watched them all I hope?

And as a counter compliment, I must admit that Danielle is one of my favorite female names!

I think it depends on the guy. Speaking from experience as an outdoorsman, I love chicks who are into the things that I am and enjoy hiking, fishing, and camping with them. What it really comes down to is that a lot of guys like chicks that do guy things, but are still womanly; most guys, however, do not want to feel like they are dating a man.

You will attract men whether they like outdoor girls or not with that description. If anything, average guys will be intimidated.

As for outdoor girls, it seems like every girl I have ever dated was an outdoors type and I don't care either way. There are tons of them, it shouldn't hold you back. In fact, I'd say you're the majority.

I like outdoorsy girls.

But one thing I dont like about you is that you are way too short.

Im 5'11 and I like tall girls at at least above 5'5.

Personally, I love to do stuff outdoors, like going to the beach, pool, tennis, basketball, cycling, hiking, jogging.... I'm pretty much down to try anything too.

I'm over going out to clubs and bars. I actually want an outdoorsy chick.

I did watch all the movies!! Did you notice how in X-Men origins Emma's diamond specials effects were tiny diamonds and in first class it looked like one big diamond?

And is it a downside if a girl is a virgin?

Thanks! And actually my gay friend (I love him) told me I was intimidating too! Which I still don't get cause I am one of those people that is always smiling (unless it's a really bad day). I just hope not everyguy is intimidated!

What is this about people calling people "intimidating"?

I get this a LOT

It's not a downside for most guys, a plus even. Guys who are sexually very experienced might find it a turn-off though, as some of those guys want to "dance" when having sex and virgins usually don't know how to "dance" yet. If you know what I mean.

That depends what they mean with intimidating. A girl can be so beautiful that a guy might feel intimidated to approach or a girl can be intimidating because she's inappropriately socially intimidating.

Perhaps women see you as attractive and confident, which can be intimidating to some women.

There's the granola type of outdoorsy girl, and then the outdoorsy girl who's still feminine. As the latter, I've had no trouble attracting outdoorsy men, and in fact they seem to like it. Guys who are more of an indoors type, however, don't seem to care one way or the other (that said, I'm not a fan of indoors dudes).

Haha I kind of don't really have a type as long as they are nice and treat me well. Obviously though I like common intrests but if a guy is an indoor guy I don't mind as long as he dosn't mind my dog, or likes music. I think the only guy I probably wouldn't date would be a guy off "Jersey Shore" because they are a little too into themselves. lol

ME TOO!! HAHA!! My dad even once told me if you went to my highschool and weren't my daughter I'd be way too intimidating! I asked why and he said because I knew what I wanted to do with my life and was in his words "freaky smart" . And just as I thought he was done he said well and you had boobs when you were 12! THANKS DAD! LOL. Oh parents

No I haven't! But wow, nice catch - I googled it right as I read your message, and damn, you're right! I do admit I didn't pay to to much attention to Emma Frost in Origins since she been there only for a few moments.

And here I thought I was a big fan, haha!

Can't wait for the next one!

Downside? Not quite, all depends really - depends at why you are a virgin, if it's for religious beliefs than it would be a downside to many, but if it is because you haven't met the right person yet, than I believe only a few would see it as a downside.

I think I speak for a large number of the men on this forum when I say that those two sentences are huge turn on's. You're going to do just fine with guys that have brains.

Would you honestly feel fulfilled if you, an outdoorsy girl, were with a couch potato, so long as he likes dogs and music (most guys will generally have those two interests)?

I guess I have a different idea of what an outdoorsy girl is, because in my mind, it would be highly unusual for an outdoorsy girl to be happy with an indoors dude.

Yes they exist. I have a name for them, I call them awesome!
