pathos_logos Posted August 5, 2011 Share Posted August 5, 2011 I have been going out with a girl since 7 years and have never been with any one in the time i was with her, one drunken night i was online and started talking to a girl who was my junior in college and whom i wasnt in contact for 2 yrs now, this girl had a crush on me when i was in college but nothing ever happened as i told her i was in love with someone else, while we were chatting in general i commented on her display picture that she was looking hot as usual and later we were talking about a tv show and she said she finds the actor hot, i made a mistake and asked her who would she rather make out with me or the actor and she said that would be a tough choice, we laughed at her response and starting talking about other things, work, common friends etc, we dont even live in the same country, and after that i told her i was gonna go to sleep and that was it, but my GF saw the messages and has decided to break up with me, I know i screwed up real bad and let alcohol get the better of my judgment, I know its not an excuse but i truely love her and would never intentionally cheat on her, is there any way i can convince her to give me another chance? I think it mostly depends on the girl. 7 years with someone is a long time to throw away but some people have 0 tolerance. Honesty is always key. Tell her about what she read... let her go through your phone and everything show you arn't doing anything. Be prepared to be in the doghouse for awhile if she wants to stay with you. Stupid thing to do i suppose but alcohol lowers inhibitions and makes us not think before we act. That isn't really an excuse but still a factor. I'm flirty by nature even when i don't mean to be and my bf just has to know i wouldn't step out on him... so we make it work. Once again.. all depends on the girl. All you can do is be open and honest with her... and perhaps try a nice romantic gesture if she likes those things. Some girls love getting flowers.... nicest thing my bf did for me after a fight was send pizza and a soda to my job cause he knew i forgot lunch that day. Point is.. do something she will like.
