Asking ex permisssion to call

Hi,

 

Is OK that I asked my ex permission to call him? Basically me and this guy were talking for a little while. Then one day we got into a messy confrontation and to make a long story short, we stopped speaking for a while. I see him everyday, so it was hard moving on and I couldn't avoid him. Well every once in a while when I see him I would speak to him and say hello. Sometime have small chat. Well today, we were talking about school and they are some subjects that he is much better in than I. So I took a deep breath and basically asked him if it was OK that I give him a call sometime for help and that if it was not , I don't want to make him uncomfortable. He said it was cool, and that i could. I didn't tell him this, but I hope one day he and I could talk about squashing our differences and hopefully rebuilding our relationship. Did I do wrong by asking permission? I didn't just want to invade his space.

no, i think that was a great thing to do. i mean it is not like you up and called. But just start out by talking about the school stuff, and let him lead it on...at first. do not abuse this and call him 10 times a day, maybe 2 times a week at first is enough....you can always talk when you see him. who knows maybe he will call you!

You're doing fine. He apparently still likes you as a friend. The only way to squash the differences is to come right out with it the next time you talk to him. But I'm under the impression that he is cool with you anyway, so why bring anything up? If you two are on good terms, stay on good terms and don't relive past differences unless it's something that was real bad, and if it was, you two would probably be awkward with each other. One confrontation isn't that bad, you just felt each other out.
