So I have a new ex. She's not from my part of the country and couldent find work here after trying for months so she is going back to her hometown. At least we didnt split because of cheating or some stupid fight I guess. We just decided that we werent together long enough for one or the other to move or stay permanently. Still hurts though.

That's tough. This kind of thing is never easy. Seems like you have a good attitude, though.

Not easy at all. I want whats best for her and I think her going back is the best. Im not going to bo into too much detail but after we were dating for a while she told me about her bad childhood. No child should have to go through what she has and it has left her with some emotional problems as an adult. She has a psychiatris in her hometown that she is supposed to see every few months but hasen't since she moved here. I had no idea about that until the other day.

I have been supporting her in her decision to move even though I want her to stay more than anything. She has always put others first in her life, which is great, but im glad she is putting herself first with this. She needs help that I cant give her. I love her. She dont need me being all emotional in front of her and begging her to stay. I will let her go

If following her isn't an option, seems like letting her go is probably best. Psychiatric issues need to be dealt with and mental health issues require constant maintenance. If you feel that you are doing the right thing, then I commend you. You're very brave.
