AdventXChild
Hi, I'm new here. I'd just like to ask if anyone would have any useful advice to give to me about this situation. Well, here it goes. I'm technically the "new kid" in the school that I'm currently attending (although I started during the 2nd semester) and well I'm attracted to this girl in my math class. I asked this girl to give her a note that said thing I can't really remember right now, I didn't deliver it personally because I wrote it during a later period as a kind of spur of the moment type of thing before I left for a two day vacation. I thought it was a good idea at the time but now I'm back and nervous as ever and she hasn't said anything about it, is it normal? Now it brings me to the actual "problem" I don't know how I can approach this girl, I don't really have a big of a problem talking to girls it's just I don't know how to approach them. To make things a little worse, the girl that delivered the note just talked to her and said that I was too shy to talk to her. Now, I really don't know what to do? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking on Monday towards the end of class I should personally give her a another note with my number in it and hope that she calls me up, then everyday after that just talk to her during class. But I haven't been that successful with girls. I mean they're attracted to me but I don't really know what to do after that. I guess I'm just inexperienced. Well, thanks for reading my post and again any feedback would be appreciated.
Dulce_Angel_Whispers
Ok not to sound mean but notes are a little immature. You should talk to her face to face and see if you 2 hit it off. How do you know you like her if you've never spoken to her? I would go up to her and say something like "hey, how's it going" then if she responds like she is interested in having a conversation then I would apologize for the note and let her know you should have came up and introduced yourself instead but you weren't sure how to approach her. Then go from there with whatever feels right. Make sure you approach her while she's not with a bunch of her friends and make sure that she will have time to talk to ya for a couple minutes! Good luck and I hope it works out in your favor!
paradyme
What's up? Well, for what it's worth, I wouldn't play the note game if I were you. I agree that you should acknowledge it, but you have common ground to talk if you share a class together. It might be simple enough to walk up to her, smile, shake her hand and say (not to sound like eminem here) "hi, my name is..." It's so much easier just to be you, and talk with her. You might say that you wanted to say hi in class, but you were new so you felt shy, and that's why you gave her that note. The best bet would be just to be friendly and introduce yourself. Worst case scenario, you make a new friend, right? I wouldn't give my phone number and hope she calls, 9 times out of 10, it doesn't happen. If someone just gave me a phone number, there's a lot of reasons I might not call. I might lose the paper, I might be shy myself and be too nervous to call, stuff like that, but just be yourself, and I know it's hard (I'm an anxious person by nature, so I know how this feels), but I would just say hey what's up, you're in my math class, and see where it goes from there. The biggest thing I never realized back in the day is that she might be nervous when you talk to her too, you guys don't know each other yet, but remember, she's just a person too. Good luck!
