buranko
so anyway, me and the ex has been broken up for 3 months now. all along right up till 2 weeks ago, we were working closely together. yesterday, she organised a mini get together for the team. Well, me deciding to go NC except business related since ages ago, ignored the message. well, then she sent me 3 messages. "did you not receive my earlier message?" "just wondering why you did not show up" "its ok, you were not missed" I mean, this kinda shook me up a bit. isn't NC supposed to be the peaceful and cordial way out? why did i piss her off so badly? Nohbody
NC is for you, not for her. If she gets mad because you don't respond, that's not your problem.

antinko
Of course you were missed! She felt she had the need to contact you three times! It depends on what your previous relationship was like, but I think the sensible thing to do would be to ignore it. If it was me, I'd want to reply with something along the lines of "Well, I thought it'd be easier that way", but that'd be a bad message to send because it basically tells her "I miss you and can't handle your company." No, don't give her any clues. It's her problem, not yours.
bentnotbroken
so, just let it be?? I really dont want her to be pissed with me. What is wrong with her being pissed at you? Will she melt or blow away with the wind? You can only control your emotions and reactions. She is whining that no one missed you in THREE emails....c'mon. Let flap in the wind. radiodarcy
so, just let it be?? I really dont want her to be pissed with me. just leave it be. she's trying to get the upper hand by baiting you. as everyone else has said, if she went out of her way to say you weren't missed, that means you *were* missed. so what if she's pissed off. leave her to stew. it's not your problem.
