Nohbody
I like to go on youtube and look for exercises I can do with my bodyweight. Please forgive the fact that this is tied to a product, but I'm simply enamored with 3-D pushups. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmC-_BXVQZc
Author Nohbody
I wouldn't replace regular push ups with these... but I like some variety.
tman666
My favorite push up alternate is the Flying Squirrel push up. It requires a good amount of core and hip control, as well as explosive power.
Author Nohbody
I just landed on my face again. I guess I'll have to work up to flying squirrel push-ups.

FitChick
I have problems with my wrists so I use Perfect Pushups (bought discounted at Ross) -and it really makes a difference. I still can only do girly pushups and have given up the idea of ever doing full body. Yet I can still see nice results in my upper chest, which tends to be a bit bony, as well as my back. Doing something is better than nothing.
Author Nohbody
New week, new exercise. Last week I managed to planche for the first time, so I'm working on holding it for longer and longer periods of time. No planche pushups yet... For next week I'm working on muscle ups, so I've isolated the two movements into 1) a more explosive pull up to my chest and 2) front dips on a bar (using a bike-rack right now with good effect) Fitchick, try doing them on your knuckles. That will strengthen your wrists. I had a similar issue and since I've been doing them on my knuckles the pain is almost completely gone (and I can do regular push ups now as a result if I so choose) Tman, Southern Colorado - don't make fun of me! swedishdiet
I think push ups and Cardio exercise is the best to stay fit which also promotes weight loss. i have been doing 100 push ups daily for last 2 months and i can see the difference as well, my muscles are much more stronger chest and biceps size has increased and i feel much more energetic and the best part is that my stamina is increasing day by day.
