Perhaps you could tell me what this means?

I sent an email to my ex of 5 months about a month agao, telling her that I would give her time and space to figure a few things out.

 

Here is the email:

 

I have meant every word that I said to you…I love you more than you will ever know…I’ll be a ghost…I’ll give you the time to figure out whether what I said means anything to you or not…I’ll let you contact me if you decide it does…Remember that I will always be thinking of you and will be here if you ever need anything…You are the love of my life…You have someone here who will do anything for you…Remember that if you ever need it…

 

 

Well, I started to do the no-contact for about a month and then got this email out of the blue:

 

I don't deserve you. You are such a kind and wonderful person. This means a

lot to me. You know that no matter what I will always be here for you if you ever need anything. I'll be thinking of you too.

 

I have been going on with my life, but do miss her. There is no one who compares to her. She responded to my email with a "Thanks" the first time. This is strange. Anyone have a crystal ball?

She's letting you down in a nice way. She's pretty much telling you that you are wonderful, but you are not what she is looking for. Don't contact me again because I don't love you. Get over me already. (Of course in a nice way...that's my interpretation of her message.)

 

To me, I would be pissed if my ex told me that.

I have to agree with hurtingandconfused. I think this girl is trying to let you down gently. She feels badly about hurting you, since you care for her so much. No doubt, she thinks you're a great person. But, she doesn't want to be together.
