While you're down there...

SHAMELESS!!

Keep it coming.

Don't know why I read "degree" as "course" last night but I'm more clear now.

Intriguing stuff!

Concepts of Good and Evil...Philosophy of Art...Existence and Authenticity.

I just fear you'll go in with a Kant-Do attitude.

Get it?

KANT-do?!

Next time I'm in a Vegas sportsbook, Ptp, I'll call you.

Bet the opposite of any team I pick and you'll make a killing. :(

Chasin' muscle cars in NC and getting ready for deep-fried turkey. Happy Thanksgiving from the muscle car man cave :)

Only just found out how you make a deep fried turkey ... excellent use of a fire hazard!

Babe, I knew you'd be

:lmao::love: My favorite song of that season.

I grinned all the way through it.

Ohio State vs. Michigan.

Bucks, I hate to do this to you, but I'm choosing you for the win.

Isn't there a way that both teams can lose? Very entertaining game so far.... 3pt game in the 4th q

I am more interested in the PSU vs Wisky game, hopefully Wisconsin wins it and punches a ticket the to the Big Ten championship game.

@Carhill

I have a post-Thanksgiving tradition of finding out how many people burnt down their houses frying a turkey.

No stats as of yet.

I'll let you know what I find.

My neighbour had a party last night, there was a pair of soiled ladies underpants on the sidewalk when I took the dogs for a walk this morning.

Who gets that drunk that they crap their pants?

LOL, I can't post the Youtube link out of privacy concerns, but I did film a visit by the entire Cary FD engine company (one ladder truck, one pumper and two volunteers who were on call), not for a burning turkey cooker, but rather for the wife burning up the stuffing in the oven. Firemen are seen surrounded by young women offering them 'appetizers' :D We had a hilarious turkey day. The deep-fried bird was excellent, the stuffing, eh.....

That's rad!

There's a place in Brooklyn called Jive Turkey and their specialty is deep fried bird.

It's tasty eatin' for sure, though once a year is (for health reasons) plenty.

Glad you enjoyed the holiday.

Regarding the bird, they did a dry under-skin rub this year (no brine) and the bird came out perfect. One misconception about deep frying a turkey is that it's greasy. IME, now two years worth, it hasn't been greasy at all. Let it rest like a regular baked bird, cut it and it behaves nearly similarly, except in about half the time, or less. With my gall bladder, too much peanut oil (the 'grease') would have had me bent over double. No issues at all. We tried a new, smaller cooker this year, the one from WalMart. It has a built in 15 minute timer so one can't just walk off and leave it, or else the flame gets cut off. I recommend :)

Just walked around the block for a quick pick-me-up, D-Lish, and thought of this story.

Gnarly.

  • 2 weeks later...
I'm not a man, but I'd rather chop wood then complain about the cold any day :)

Great!

Well, welcome!

Betterdeal, I changed my mind.

Philosophy.

Heidegger.

Phenomenology and existentialism.

I look forward to a brief encapsulation.

Way ahead of you, cerriders.

I'm looking at Philosophy & Psychology combined now. Been reading Rorty lately. Irony, solidarity and contingency.

Mind = blown.

Rorty, Heidegger, the nexus, I dig it.

Enjoy.

If they ever reply, that is.

You been working out?

If who replies?

The university?

Yeah, I've been hitting the weights a little. *flex*

Thanks for noticing.

You have every thing a man could want - muscles and a moustache.

Yep, the university. Might call them later today and badger them for a response. It'd be in Oxford this course (at Brookes, not The) which is a nicer town than Cambridge. Either that or distance learning, but where's the fun in that?
