There I was, ready to watch a sombre reminder of the horrors of war juxtaposed with the human spirit of camaraderie when I realised, I had rented Shaving Ryan's Privates.

That confidential shop down the road is rubbish.

Jer. Look at me. Where do you think I stand on that issue.

I'll suggest "The Hangover" as a funny relationship movie.

Just not Hangover 2..

So should Man Caves stock streaming movies? or go retro with DVDs, VHS, BluRays?

The Man Cave should have a stocked movie cabinet of all the greats. Ready to watch on a moments notice.

I'll keep my responses to the private area. ;):p

For you, whipped cream should be stocked in the man cave.

Should women have no dress code when in the man cave while men do?:p

Thanks guys,

Any recommendations on comedies I can watch?

I am partial to movies like 40 year old virgin, Wedding Crashers, Dodgeball, the Hangover and Old School.

Haven't seen it yet, but I heard the Inbetweeners movie is good, if you've seen the series anyway. Funny British film

You know,

I just realized forums about sports are just ways for grown men to talk down to rival fans based on the accomplishment of others.

For every productive conversation there are 2 that are purely trolling.

I sometimes wonder why I even visit, all it does is raise my bp and get me ticked off.

You want to really lose faith in humanity?

Start listening to talk radio.

Some of the people who call in...

I've decided to test drive the Rubicon.

I found one in white.

Thanks, monkey. :)

I'm looking for a used one.

Makes more financial sense with depreciation and all.

Tesla's rolling out the Model X this summer.

All electric with the purported performance of a sports car, it's defining feature are the gull wings.

The wings are kind of sweet but IMO, the exterior overall is ho hum.

What do you think, Rossie?

The Tesla won't fit in our man cave Petals, we'll have to expand our cave.

The Tesla is a nice car with the wings.

Hmmm, I'd say the looks are kind of average, it does look kind of focusy, but not as good. And I don't really think the gull wings suit it either.

Having to expand our Man Cave to fit our expensive new electric car?

Definitely a first world problem wouldn't you say, Bear?! :D

Tesla's an interesting company with an interesting founder.

I'm just not a big fan of what they've put out yet.

He's a rocketeer too! He co-founded SpaceX, PayPal, and of course Tesla.

He is like one of the ultimate geeks.

Really?

I'd love to get one of these guys

But I don't think I'll be able to afford a $125,000 car any time soon.

They have a dealership in SoCal. ;) You can window shop or put it in your leap-list or bucket-list.

Tesla's and Fisker's are electric sports cars; 0-60 in under 6 seconds and quiet too.

Yeah, I heard they are hella fast.

It would be interesting not having to buy gas again.

till you have to replace the batteries.. some cars go about 12-18 months between replacements some 24-36 months but the cost is k's of dollars.

Yes, but you still have to buy some fuel, either by plugging it in but it just means the emissions is transferred from car to electricity production.

Plus if you can afford a $100,000+ exotic car; gasoline affordability is the least of your worries. A more reasonable car would be the Toyota Prius or Nissan Leaf.

The Model X will do 0-60 in 4.4 seconds.

Don't listen to Art and JerBear, SD!

I suspect they're both tied to Big Oil.

I say independently, you and I go test drive something from Tesla.

Why not?!

Like Jer said, there's a dealership in So. Cal. and there's one about 20 minutes from my house.

The Stark character from Iron Man movies was loosely modeled after Musk, Tesla's founder, right?

I'm more into natural gas since the U.S. is full of it. ;):p

Two shows nightly, dark on Friday nights! :D

Ooo... ahh... the test drive would be fun.

Very loosely for the younger Stark, I'll think the elder Stark is more like Howard Hughs.

Really what type of talk radio? Political stuff?

Politics is such an ugly monster.

When I was younger, I used to listen into a talk radio show.

Have you ever heard of a show called "Love Line" with Dr. Drew and Adam Carolla?

I had clock radio next to my bed and I used to listen to it every night.

Had to turn it down really low so my parents didn't catch me hearing all the sexual stuff that they used to talk about.

That was my sex ed:laugh:.

I loved that show.

I've always wanted to drive a big old square shaped American car. I've always liked the way they look, and I've always been really curious about what they're like to drive.

If anyone is wondering why I'd really like to drive a crappy old ordinary car, it's because I'm in the UK, so to us they're totally not ordinary, and are nothing like the cars we have over here.

Here in Cali, I call them 'land yachts'. They just kind of float down the road.

I have a couple of 'crappy old ordinary cars'. Out here, we call them 'vintage'. ;)
