April72
Ok I know during the recovery period you are encouraged to refrain from relationship for a year. What if a person has never really had a "relationship" only lots and lots of hookups and ONS. So they refrain from sex for a year. What does this do for a person exactly ??? speedster
it promotes self control having sex/ONS etc acts as a substitute drug it relieves any pressure the gf/bf/whatever might impose it removes the temptation of partying when on a date, etc allows you to think for yourself/spend time with yourself/put your recovery first a recovering addict doesn't need to be making decisions regarding relationships or any other major decisions. things are confusing enough when withdrawing.
