Recommended Posts

Ok,now this is getting redicoulas.Today,I was on the phone and I accidently told her that George Huff was on Ryans show today.I forgot that once I mentioned that, she would ask me to tape it.Not that I mind but she has a vcr.I said "you can tape it at your house" and she says,I cant I have to go somewhere. What kind of excuse is that? She can program her vcr or leave it on record.I dont understand this.

Sarah, read that again.

Patty, maybe she doesn't know how to program it? Or maybe she thought you'd already be taping it so she could borrow your tape?

Either way, if she doesn't care enough to do it herself, then why bother to do it for her?

I think she can't program a vcr and would not like to admit it, and she has not the time to learn to before the show starts, or she lacks the ability to understand the vcr manual. Or perhaps she has no blank tape she can use at home.

Patty,

Life is short. Friends are not perfect. They sometimes do or say things we don't like or understand, we're all guilty of that from time to time.

What's the big deal here? You said you didn't mind taping the show, I'm sure you were going to be watching it anyway. So...she wasn't going to be there to tape it, figured you'd be there watching it and take the 5 seconds it would take to hit the "record" button on the VCR to tape it for her.

Friends help out friends. That's part of life.

If you wanted to see a favorite show or celebrity on TV but you weren't going to be home to watch it, and maybe didn't know how to set the VCR to record it, would it be a big deal of you to ask a friend to tape it?

Little things like this, Patty, are just not worth getting all bent out of shape over. Be glad you have friends. Some people don't have any.
