we got back together, i ended it, now she is with someone else

Hi I haven't been on here for a while, I thought I could handle it.*

 

Short story, my ex and I broke up last July, she went out with with someone else after that. We got back together in September. I broke up with her in April. Reason was I think she had drained me. She moved back in with me because her parents moved and she couldn't live with them and she didn't have the money for her own rent place. So I guess I let her stay but I wasn't ready to have her move in again. I think because she moved in so quickly I didn't give the new relationship time because it just kind of slipped back which is what I didn't want. After I ended it in April she still lived with me until July. We also went on holiday together in July. She maintained she wanted to be best friends still.*

 

Since ending us she has slept with probably five guys, been out with two of them and I just found out, well I figured out and asked her, that she is going out with a girl now. This is was really a punch in the gut. It was like the world was pulled out from under my feet.

 

I hadn't said everything I needed to to her so I sent an email saying the true reason I ended it with her ,I told her it was family, it wasn't that, it was she had drained me and her personality, attitude, appearance, way she interested and everything change but I do still value, care and respect her.*

 

I do actually know her better than herself, after 4 years I would, and I know she is a bottler. She is also on happy pills, something she did after we ended and recently she said she has gone cold turkey because she ran out of pills and needs to make a visit to the doctor.*

 

As I said this is a punch in the gut. She is 26 I am 25. This girl is 21. 2 weeks ago she was not seeing anyone while I am on holiday she is seeing someone. She hasn't been single for over 2 months since 16.

 

After ending us I told her this is a great time to do something you want and be single for a while, get your independence and be who you want to be not what being with someone makes you be. She agreed with me, actually she was the one who came up with it. She also said that she could not be with another girl after me because it would not compare to me.

 

My ex wants to come round when I am back from holiday to talk to me. And didn't say anything about my email just she will talk when I am back, which is probably Thursday.*My friends say I am too good for her. I did everything around the house while having a job. I paid for her for everything under what's mine is yours. I took her on 2 holidays in the past year. One of my friends says I have a too kind heart and she took advantage. It doesn't stop the fact that this hurts.

 

Also this girl is the polar opposite to me. Complete opposite. And she says she is besotted with her. I dont know what to think anymore. Is this a rebound or not? Or the real thing? I see a lot of potential in her as a person but she is heading down a not so great wat.
