Calutaxi484
Eh there's things I both agree with and disagree with in this thread. 1. In most cases being morbidly obese IS a result of lifestyle choices. Literally TONS of people make excuses like " I have hypothryroidism" but it's kind of hard to tell which came first the chicken or the egg. While I'm in ketosis my thyroid general excretes less hormones, yet fat loss still continues. Which leads me to #2. 2. Lies and misinformation are a HUGE HUGE HUGE industry. We're talking hundreds of billions of dollars. It's all over the fitness industry, and the health care industry. The US government is partially responsible, the food guide pyramid is a prime example. Fat and cholesterol are demonized, but they're NOT bad for you. You CANNOT live without either of them. In fact nearly every cell in your body can produce cholesterol. There's no causal link between cholesterol rates and heart disease (this is a somewhat complicated topic which I can elaborate on, but it would be an entire lengthy post). 3. Yes it is possible to become obese only eatting "good" foods. However you have to look at caloric density of foods. I get 3lb bags of salad from sam's club. The entire 3lb bag has less then my daily calorie needs. A box of twinkies has more then my daily calorie needs, and has a much much smaller volume. Nuts/seeds are the most calorie dense foods on earth. 1 gram of almonds is like 350 calories (and that amounts to around a handful). Fullness is also a reletive topic. If you eat less you stomach WILL get smaller. If you eat more it will expand ( making it harder to become full). 4. Learning how your body works is really quite simple, it just takes a little research. Being skinny doesn't make one healthy, but generally being extremely fat does make one unhealthy. Simply enough Type 2 diabetes is a result of insulin resistance, it's preventable. Blood pressure changes from obesity result from multiple factors which can include sodium intake. However blood volume DOESN'T change with body mass. That means for the most part a 100lb woman and a 700lb woman should have the same blood volume, blood pressure disturbances are the result of the increased mass. I'll challenge anyone that reads this to follow my diet advise ( which isn't actually listed here) for 90 days and you WILL lose weight ( and can do so without ever stepping foot into a gym). It won't work if you cheat, and don't ACTUALLY follow it. Edit: If there's actually people interested I'll make another thread where we can exchange info.
