Question faithful married women

It's not just my community. I understand why women who do not fit this description are offended but I see so much of this that it really does come as a surprise when a woman is married and faithful and actually very happy with her husband. Seeing a mutually happily married these days is so rare.

Negative Nancy

Do your friends ever make fun of you because you are faithful? no, they are all faithful too...

Do they ever call you a stepford wife because you don't cheat on your husband? that term isnt even known here

Do you look at women who cheat and get envious because they are having all the fun? no, i enjoy being faithful, im a strict one-person person

I did not create them. true. But for some reason, you find it very important to keep a death grip on the feeling they invoke. At some point, you're going to ask yourself why, especially when you understand how toxic it is to your mental health.

as for happily married couple ... no couple is 100 percent happy all the time, because it's not possible. We're human and we're prone to emotions and to making mistakes. Really, the only thing you do to keep your relationship alive is to keep choosing it every day ...

Nobody is happy 100% of the time but I am talking about a general feeling of happiness. I am shocked when a marriage doesn't end up like this. http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t297357/

Just being honest. Stuff like this is so common nowadays.

I'm going to ask this question AGAIN since you've managed to avoid answering more than once.

What answer is the one that you will accept from women here? please hand us the script for what we are supposed to say so that the decent women who post here can stop having to type reassuring words to you over and over again. It's clear that you don't believe them & it's beginning to look like you use these threads as some sort of sick tool that gets you off or something.

Oh and that thread you linked to, where the OP had 3 posts total? wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if that OP was you.

I never doubted the women on here who tell me they have happy relationships. I very much believe them but for every one of them there are a few posts like the ones I posted the link to.

Again I'm going to ask since clearly you don't read.

What is the answer you want from the women here Woggle? Do you think if you keep hammering away at us with the same women hating questions again and again that we'll finally crack and admit that we're faithless sluts, man hating pigs just like dear old Mom and your ex-wife?

Don't take this the wrong way, Woggle, but in addition to your therapy and group therapy I think you should consider enrolling in a critical thinking class.

Why would you say that?

While the women here who truly do love their men give me hope other than that I just use this forum to vent about my frustrations with modern day gender relations.

Then perhaps you need to start letting people know that you are just venting because from where I sit it appears that you aren't venting, that you're asking for input.

This thread specifically was asking a question and I got my answers.

Btw, I have no problem admitting to you that I'm far,far happier being an old slut than I ever was being a faithful, loving wife but I'm beginning to feel for the people here who've spent countless hours trying to help you.

Why would you say that?

You see everything--everything that ever involves any women, anyway--through an extremely biased and damaged lens, and no matter how many times this is pointed out to you you seem incapable of acknowledging or fully understanding it. The conclusions you reach are based on limited, biased data, sketchy half-understood statistics, hurtful things once told you, and internet anecdotes which have passed through your extremely unreliable emotional filter--your logic chain is so badly damaged as to be practically useless, yet you continue to cling to the assumptions and "facts" that make up your worldview. It's a big stumbling block to your recovery, IMO. I think it might benefit you to learn to think more critically in general, so that you can apply new critical thinking skills to your own information-assimilation in the "gender wars".

Does your wife see things the same way? She must have female friends--is this her reality? (your mother doesn't count!)

Maybe you do have a point. Maybe I notice threads like the one I posted while ignoring the many examples of the opposite. It is not something I consciously do but the subconscious plays tricks on a person. I am starting to realize that maybe I am subconsciously blocking out examples that prove me wrong.

Most of her friends are actually in very happy relationships with their men but she doesn't deal with the types who would try and sabotage her relationship. She knows women like that but they are not the kind of people she likes to hang around with.

I can assure you that I do know women like this plus my mother says it as well. She calls my wife a stupid, faithful little stepford dog.

Do you have mommie issues woogle?

Is that why you are asking this or think that ever happy woman in a marriage or realtioship wants to cheat or has thought about it. I've all ways told people how happy I am with my partner or 5 years.

I'm not surprised at all. She sounds most of the women I know.

Why don't you take a lesson from your lovely wife and surround yourself with people in happy relationships?

Because to me friends are friends regardless of relationship status. I cut off my one friend dating a married woman but if they want to stay single and mess around honestly that is their business.

I didn't say to cut out the negative. I said to surround yourself with the positive. Choose positive.

Ok, you have some deeply flawed friends. So do I. But I mostly have functional friends. Don't you have functional friends? If not, why the heck not??? Your wife does!

I have happily married friends and a close friend from my old job has finally found a great woman after years of drama. I have friends in happy situations but many of them are struggling with finding a good woman and figure why not have fun in the meantime.

So why all the threads looking for evidence of happy marriages, and happily married women?

I don't get it....

And a reality check--some of your friends struggling to find a good woman probably have their own issues, making them attracted to the wrong women. They will repeat that pattern until they figure it out. Their dating success does not accurately represent the proportion of good/bad women in the pool, because THEY are choosing the women.

ummm...maybe I am somewhat "out of it" ( what else is new:laugh:) but this sounds really weird. i don't think i would have any interest in hanging around with someone who thought that behavior was somehow acceptable. how is it ever acceptable to do something that will hurt someone else, and why would this behavior be encouraged?

i have never heard anyone say the things you wrote.. well, except for some guys who were visiting us once. They were my husband's co-workers and one of them was going on about how he had cheated on his wife while they were away maintaining reserve units. The other guys were kind of patting him on the back about it, but the interesting thing is that when he left, they all started talking about how badly he treated his wife and what a jerk he was for doing so. Too bad they didn't tell him that.
