Extremely odd situation involving my masseuse

:o Here is an odd situation that perhaps you will read and be totally shocked or maybe not in the least bit. In involves my masseuse. He is a Chinese man who does not speak English. Raised in Argentina for awhile, he speaks Spanish so we communicate in Spanish although my Spanish is no longer perfect and I often do not follow what he is saying. For three years I have been seeing the same masseuse. I have gone plenty of other places, even in different countries and it took me a very long time before i found someone who was as good at accupressure as the masseuse I had in Taiwan when I vacationed there.

Now due to feeling uncomfortable, it took me a very long time before i was able to remove my shirt. I think probably over a year. I am not a free spirit like most and therefore simple task seem like moubntains for me to climb. So all accupressure was done with layers of my clothing on. I also used to go with my friends and family, until I was the only one who could afford to keep going and they stopped going as often. I say this because one would not feel too comfortable having a family member or friend walk in when there session is over saying, "I will wait for you outside". I know they only see your back, but still!!!

When I finally did and let him oil my back, the first thing out his mouth was how I would not need accupressure for my back if I were not so fat. He proceeded to paint out all the fat pockets and give me a lecture on the types of foods Americans eat that cause them to gain weight. Annoyed by this remark, I decided not to go back for over a month, perhaps two months. When I went back those comments were never made again.

Now, recently I went to my masseuse, as I indicated over the years I became more relaxed and therefore was able to undress at least down to underpants well he was massaging me telling me I had not been there in three weeks and I used to go there every week. He said he looked in the book and never saw me as making an appointment. He told me that he missed me. He then said, “Your so beautiful, you have any idea how beautiful you are? I love touching your body, I miss touching your body.” I laughed feeling a bit uncomfortable and said, “i have no idea what your saying, I am not really listening.” He said, “Your so beautiful” and began not really giving accupressure as much as touching me in a way that made me nervous. When the session was near finished he said, “An hour goes by so fast.” He helps me lift up, tries to remove the sheet I was covering myself with and says, “Give me a kiss”. I said, “No” laughing but very uncomfortable. He leaves the room. I go to the receptionist and pay. I tip him as I always do and leave to go to another building for my facial. He follows me and and ask for my phone number next time I come. Mind you the conversation is in broken Spanish on my part and with not quite clear understanding. I said, “I really am not interested in any men right now. I am staying away from men for a while.” He says, “What are you going to do be an old maid with no man in your life?” I said, “No, but right now I am not interested, I come because i am in pain and I want you to fix that.” I then walked into the building for my facial appointment.

This encounter left me disturbed because I truly have been many places and I like his technique and I am familiar with him. For a while when I was not speaking to him I went to two other places. I know several other masseuse and they are familiar with me. One is a woman from China who is a doctor. I am lost as to what I should do about this situation. Should I tell someone in the place he works who is in charge of him (they know me because i pay them not him)? Should I try and talk to him again? Mind you my Spanish is not so hot! Or is this the paint where I must stop going to this location. I am really baffled, and what makes it harder is that it truly is the most inexpensive place. One hour for $35. All other locations I go to charge $60. I have paid $60, but it is not something I want to do each week. Also, there is another place that charges $47, but the real point is I went to him not even because of the inexpensive price (because I get foot reflexology for $35 somewhere else where the woman is fantastic for a half hour and I know at least ten places that are half the price she charges), but because he really knows how to take away my pain. :bunny:

Hate to nitpick, Pad, but a 'masseuse' would be a woman. You have a 'masseur'.

Should I tell someone in the place he works who is in charge of him (they know me because i pay them not him)?

Absolutely. He has broken the boundaries of professionalism and has to be dealt with. He's probably tried this on many women and somebody has to put a stop to it. It's unfortunate that you like his style, but you can be sure he will continue to harrass you anyway, so it won't be a great loss.

His behaviour was out of line. I would not go back to him again. He breached trust.

I would sue him to the hilt and his company and put them all under water forever never to serve another client again. You were sexually harrassed and molested. Frankly, it worries me why you are seemingly taking this all so lightly.
