AHardDaysNight
This is something that has universally protected me from getting into a relationship = I have a foot fetish. And generally, foot fetishes are considered creepy by 99% of women. 1/4th of the male population also have foot fetishes, so I don't quite understand how guys with foot fetishes got into relationships, if this is something that is generally considered unmasculine. Can someone help me out here? What is it about a foot fetish that turns your stomach? To me, it's normal.
omkara
I'd say! Feet are smelly and dirty.
Cracker Jack
I also have a foot fetish. I don't really disclose this with people offline, tho. Anyway, I guess it's creepy when people take it too far. One of my girl friends usually complained about her ex of a few months, who would always ask to smell her feet after she took her heels off, and even enjoyed smelling her sweaty socks. I guess it's those guys that make it creepy. If a woman thinks a man appreciating pretty feet is creepy, then that's her problem.
Disenchantedly Yours
I don't think it's creepy. But my feet are soooo ticklish I don't really like them touched too much. I will say that I have a shoe fetish. So if I get to wear sexy shoes to the bedroom, I'm good to go.

verhrzn
I think you can take any fetish, even an otherwise tame one, too far... But if a girl really freaks out at you having a foot fetish, say good bye and good riddance. You don't want someone who's that much of a narrow minded prude anyway. Like Dan Savage says," Reject the honest foot fetishist... Marry the dishonest necrophiliac."
Stung
I don't think it's creepy, per se. I have dated a couple of guys who liked feet, it wasn't a big deal. But as someone said above, it's a matter of degree. A mild foot fetish is pretty benevolent and easy to accomodate; I don't care if a guy appreciates my feet, rubs them, kiss them, watch me try on shoes, or wants to give me a pedicure--I can enjoy those things too, especially the foot massage. If he wants to smell my shoes, that's easy enough, although it's not something I necessarily want to watch. But when one of my bfs who liked feet started wanting to tie me up and tickle my feet, or to get a foot job to completion, not just sometimes but every time, well that grew tiresome and it got unsexy real quick. He wanted our sex life to be all about his obsession with my feet, and since I didn't share that obsession it was a relief to end it with that guy and move on. Fortunately there are women who are more into that kind of thing, if that's your bag and you look for them hard enough.
Author AHardDaysNight
I guess it's only creepy when it's unattractive men.
Stung
Well, if you're working in a shoe store just to be around women's feet, and sniffing the shoes after they've been tried on, then it's creepy no matter what you look like. Or if you're one of those guys who STARES if a woman wears sandals out in public, that can get pretty weird, too. There are certainly people who think anything that deviates from the norm is creepy. Here, you have evidence that not everyone thinks that way. Why can't you take some heart from this, instead of going into self-pity mode?
D-Lish
I don't care about a man having a foot fetish- but I have ugly feet, so if a man discloses he has a foot fetish I take myself out of the race:p

Can someone help me out here? What is it about a foot fetish that turns your stomach? To me, it's normal. I think it's just another reason you've found to have a reason to not "find a relationship". Here's a way to realize your fetish, regardless of what it is: attract a mate; once you've attracted said mate, slowly reveal your fetish in a non-threatening way, and they'll very often be receptive to it. A foot fetish is about as tame as you can get; wait until you've been with someone for two years and they tell you they want to wear a strap-on, or you tell your beautiful wife you want to watch her get banged by two guys while she's wearing a nurse outfit. Those are threatening fetishes (that make the world go round).
Author AHardDaysNight
Yeah, those are definitely more dangerous fetishes! I dunno, I've always just felt like a freak for having this. Same as being a virgin who has never kissed a girl.
Mrowka
My bf has a foot fetish and i dont really mind it. I do actually get jealous when he cant have me and he looks at others girls pictures of feet lol my feet are not photogenic and he likes a certin foot type, in real life my foot is perfect to him but on pictures it comes out blah. So i get jealous that i cant take pictures for him that he can look at when i am not around. I dont mind the kissing, or licking or sucking or even foot jobs.
verhrzn
... Seriously, read Savage Love sometime if you feel like a freak for having a foot fetish. Some people have the strangest things that turn them on. Balloons. Pies getting thrown in their face. Centaurs. Tentacle monsters. Just don't be a demanding hog about it, and no decent girl will freak out. The reason the above poster was bothered so much by her guy's is because he was a selfish jerk about it. Really, you'll be fine with the great majority of girls.
ja123
Wow! if only I had dainty feet!!! I think have someone with a foot fetish would be divine. Mind you there was a guy on Craigslist looking for a woman with size 10 or over!!! (Heck, why didn't I respond! LOL) Lots of of different tastes out there!!! I think you can find aything if you want it! Is it more a fear of being in a relationship that's keeping you from finding someone?
Ginger Beer
I'd say! Feet are smelly and dirty. Not really, a mouth is smelly and dirty if you don't clean it twice a day but people still kiss them. I also have a foot fetish. I don't really disclose this with people offline, tho. My friend used to make fun of me because of mine (which isn't extreme, I just think they're cute and attractive) and he now has a foot fetish after I showed him some feet pics. I think people are nervous about it and think it's creepy because they expect other people to think it's creepy. Yet a lot of people will admit nice hands are a turn-on or a nice feature so I don't get what the fuss is?
carhill
I don't care about a man having a foot fetish- but I have ugly feet, so if a man discloses he has a foot fetish I take myself out of the race:p How do you know your feet are ugly to a man? I personally have yet to run into the 'creepy' issue, but my interest is probably mild compared to heavy duty fetishists. For myself it's more of a foreplay/bonding type thing with the person I'm in a relationship with rather than an everyday out in public random thing. Essentially, I can get turned on by *my woman's* feet versus *any woman's* feet. If I run into a woman who thinks it's creepy, I'll ask her why.
Author AHardDaysNight
Yeah, I am not a perv about it. I don't go around asking random girls to show me their feet. And while I will check out a hot girl's feet, I don't go staring. I think there are enough weirdos that give a bad name to foot fetishism. It doesn't mean that we're ALL weirdos, though! Anyway, I think I have my answers. It depends on how the foot fetish is expressed. And whether or not you have the other skills to be in a relationship with that person. What irritates me is how people that are unattractive to someone is "creepy" for some reason. So they throw "He's a foot lover!" on it, instead of "I just wasn't attracted to him." Very annoying. But I'll try to keep things in perspective.

rafallus
I don't see a reason to even bring that up, unless you get reasonably serious, and want to spice things up even further. I have some of those "fetishes" myself, and I just don't disclose it to anyone who I meet IRL - when situation arises, other party just adds things up...
Citizen Erased
It's not creepy as long as you're not sniffing them after I get home from working out. I think feet are gross though, so it's a fetish I can't say I am unhappy that ny husband doesn't have it.
