If he's not in your area and you have to dial "1" before his number, then it's long distance and you will pay for that. Also, please remember that when you call someone's cell phone your phone number comes up and he will then have your phone number. If it's not someone you know and TRUST, that may not be a safe thing to do. Once someone has your home phone number, they can get your address and last name. Just be careful.
