start-fresh
I've known this girl about a week and a half. We met at a mutual friend's party and I've asked her out for two dates basically. She's tried to initiate 'hanging out' every single day which I've tried to diplomatically deflect. She's constantly texting me 'How's it going' and telling me she's got a headache, etc. Basically letting me in on the minute details of her life it feels like. To me, this is extremely clingy, but I've been guilty of rejecting women in the past and then regretting it soon after, so I'm trying to not make the same mistakes. How do I balance not leading someone on with giving things a legitimate shot? I have a feeling this kind of behavior is something that will only get worse. Do I just tell her that it's too much contact, too soon? I'm in grad school and want to maintain other friendships, and I know if I meet the right person I want to make time for a relationship, but this one feels more like a drag so far. We're also not even exclusive yet.
