SummerLady
I am nornally very good on my own. But when I get constant junk thrown in my face, its hard. Would you like a piece? Would you like some? Hey why aren't you eating this delicious cake, your ridculous, you should eat more, you should eat this sometimes, your too strict, your too thin, your not balanced!!! Should I go on? This is some of things I hear from husband, friends and family. I feel like I have to fight the world to keep from eating crap and eating well. How can I control my cravings better with all that goes on around me. I have been to 4 birthday parties this month, I finally broke down and had cake at the last one.. UGH I need to control sugar its my downfall and I will end up on a binge.. Any suggestions. HELP BTW I am not too thin.......

I mean having 1 piece of cake out of 4 birthday parties isn't the same as eatting a dozen doughnuts with the lights off in the closet. Don't drive yourself crazy over it though. I'd tell your husband, friends, family that you're just happy doing what you're doing and for them to not worry about it. I'm a bit more abrasive with strangers. Like when some random person on the street tells me "smoking is bad for you" I usually come back with "you worry about you and I'll worry about me". That's the mentality I have. It's MY life, and I'll live it the way I see fit.
Cypress25
I need to control sugar its my downfall and I will end up on a binge This is usually a sign that you're too rigid with food. Normal thin people can eat sugar once in awhile and not be tempted to binge, and it's because they don't see sugar as "forbidden." They know they're allowed to eat it any time, so they don't get this frantic urge to eat a ton of it all at once. If you say to yourself "I'm not allowed to eat sugar, ever" then of course you'll crave it all the time. Maybe if you allow yourself a small treat once a week, you won't have these cravings. In my experience it's a lot easier to cut it out entirely (thus forgetting what you're missing) than allow yourself a small treat. Just remind yourself of the cake's binge-inducing potential. And that there are plenty of healthy delicious things you could eat instead.
