I often can't scream in dreams sometimes. My voice will be silent, mangled... I don't seem to have a problem when there are bugs and stuff like that, but I've never really HAD to scream.

I'm wondering if this is just a "dream thing" or if it's something I should actually worry about happening to me.

Most people that I know don't actually scream in their dreams--or nightmares. I'll be trying to scream and nothing willcome out but a huffing sound and that will hopefully wake up myself or my husband who will shake me awake.

The couple of times I actually have been able to scream it was a short scream and I woke myself up right away. I think that is pretty normal for nightmares. is that what you mean by not being able to scream?

Yeah, that's what I mean. This kinda silent scream with no voice in it.

I dreamed this morning that I was about to be raped and my friends were nearby but I couldn't scream to have them save me. But then my alarm went off so I didn't get to see if I'da whupped his @ss anyway. Still, I wonder about that and if I was really in that situation whether I'd have to worry about not being having a voice.

Don't really worry about that.

In dreams that kind of stuff happens quite often.

It is not related in any way to what would happen in the real situation.

I can run slowly in my dreams, never knew someone could move so slow. But the one that bothers me and keeps coming up is that my vision is "cloudy" and blurry, almost of going blind and my vision gets steadily worse. I suppose that is where running in slow~mo helps, lol, less chance of running into things you can't see?

what i heard of this is that when we are dreaming we are in a paralysis mode so we dont act out our dreams.

i have had this thing called sleep paralysis and it is the most worst feeling in the world and from it i can truly

symphathize with a paralyzed person.

sleep paralysis is when your mind wakes up but your body is still alseep and paralysed! try dealing with THAT!

so when you cant scream out in your sleep it is mostly that your body is paralysed so you wont act out your dreams.

be glad for it in the circumstance i guess.
