I have been reading some threads on here and one guy said a friend said 80% of men wish they had married a 12 year old virgin. Is this true and if so why should a woman even try attracting a husband if he will just end up resenting her for being over 18 and no longer virginal?

I had to double check the username. This is the kind of post I'd expect from someone like Woggle but with the genders reversed. (Sorry Woggle.)

 

I can't speak for married men but anyone who comes up with a statistic like that had better be a researcher in the area or read it in a reputable peer-reviewed publication, otherwise I'd question its validity and reliability.

I know one thing... the one lingering issue between my H and I after 20 years together is this

 

We've been together since high school. Early in our relationship, we broke up for nearly a year. And I was with another guy once during this time.

 

My H was with others, too, during our break up.

 

He still thinks about me and that other guy. Even though we had been broken up for months when it happened. Even though that other guy, and the experience was forgettable. It's not constant. But it's there. I'll see a certain look come over his face, and I'll know he's thinking about it. He knows he has no right to be upset, but it bothers him regardless.

 

It's one thing that I wish I could take back. I don't think I did anything wrong, but it still made him hurt nonetheless.

 

I think some men do feel a sense of ownership over their women. They don't want another man using her like that.

 

Men are also competitive, and they want to be the only man that gives her pleasure.

 

With a virgin, there would be nothing for the girl to compare him too. He would be all she knew.

that post really helped me alot. Thats me and my wife. I get that same look when I think about it, and I know I cant say anything because I told her I forgave her and we'd move on, but I cant stop the thoughts. They are like a disease that comes into my head out of nowhere. Im glad to hear a female perspective on it. It gives me insight to what my wife may be thinking, because she never says.

If that's true then I'm screwed. When I was a 12 year old virgin all I was interested in were school, ice cream, books, and puppies. I guess I missed the boat.
