Recommended Posts

Ima keep this one short me and my ex gf been together for 3 years and we really meant a big part in each others life like things were perfect but things startd to get rocky and we broke up and she started dating some other guy (the guy wasnt the reason we broke up either) but i was kind of hurt and stuff but i got over it i changed up for me improve myself etc. But me and her used to talk like twice a week her being the one thats always calling me n me not calling her well when my fall semester started august 29th she didnt call me or anytime since then i really have no problem with this at all its actually better for me this way i just wanted to know why did she suddenly stop talking to me

is it a good or bad sign? i still do have feelings for her and i most definitely know she still has feelings for me i just want to know the reason why could someone give me feedback

In terms of being a sign I'd say it was bad, but that doesn't mean the situation is all bad!

I say it's a bad sign because in my experience if an ex stops speaking to you (even if you were good friends) it's for one of the following three reasons:

1) She has a new man (which you know about) and he's asked her not to speak to you.

2) She feels you have been coming on too strong i.e. treating her like a gf as opposed to a friend, so she feels the best way for you both to heal is if she goes nc.

3) She doesn't need you anymore so is being selfish

Now, I said it isn't all bad, because if you still love this girl then her not having you in her life might make her miss you. Alternatively it will at least give you the chance to heal, as ex's can be like a drug, and every time you use you're back to square one!

I fully agree with TheDovic. Those reasons are pretty dead on.

Sadly i find myself in a similiar situation and those 3 reasons scare me, especially number 1.

May i ask how much time there has been between your break-up, her getting a new guy, and her going into silent mode?

Yeah i do understand all of that but she already told me that he didnt like that she was still talking to me but she said she wasnt going to stop talking to me and our convos were actually kind of wierd on her part lol because we would talk about out past sometimes and how much we both changed and even sex we had together LOL! and her not needing me anymore is totally out of the question all women arent the same idk why the first thing the comes out of people mouths is she doesnt need u or she was just using u its never always like that. I know its something else

9 months for the break up and 1 and a half for meeting the new guy and about 6 weeks ago for her going silent

I think time's your best weapon at the minute dude, but it's also your worst enemy cos it's so hard sitting around wondering! Very possible she's confused though, so don't be surprised if she turns up again one day soon :)

I also hope you are right.

Actually personally i break contact with ex's when a new girl comes into my life and she's uncomfortable with the idea of me still talking to an ex.

The things you talk with your ex about would actually make me uncomfortable if i was her current boyfriend. Your romantic and sexual past should stay in the past if you want to be proper friends and both move on and be respectful to your current partners. Just my opinion though.

I just realised there is a 4th possibility, one that actually also could apply to my current situation:

4) She feels she's holding you back by staying in your life so much and wants to pull back because maybe it doesnt feel right.

And judging from those times between events you mentioned, i think the possibility of her no longer having time for you or needing you is something you shouldnt discount. She might not do this consciencely but she would just not feel the need to talk to you as much anymore if her mind is by now mostly preoccupied by her new BF.

EDIT: One important thing id like to add: "Do not trust to hope...it has forsaken this place...". So dont sit by the phone hoping for her to ring you and beg you to come back. And trust me, i KNOW how hard that is, im in a similiar situation and it is driving me CRAZZZZZZYYYY, because i want her to want me back, argh!

Me i dont care for her new guy or respect him but i dont talk about him to her though i have no time for that one lol! but we were close we never felt uncomfortable about what we talkd about. idc if he did tho if she was open2talk about our past even her starting the subject told me she still has feelings for me. It wasnt like the week b4 she went silent we got into a argument or something we were laughing and talking like usual idk what happened i really believe she is confused about something and i will give her some space and time its in her hand because i will not call or text her for anything my birthday is coming up next month if she is still silent than you will be right
