End of my rope
Me and my husband to be were watching a dvd of extreme chick fighting. It wasn't all that good. I saw better fights in high school during lunch. Anyway he kept going on and on about how his sister could do that and how tough she was and how many people's asses she could kick...yada yada yada... Time warp... It's almost to the end of the show and he's talking about how awesome some of the bare knuckle fights on there were. I tell him I wasn't impressed and if need be, I could whip most of them. He laughed at me and says to me that there wasn't anyway I could, but <his sister> could. THAT MADE ME MAD! I used to work in a nursing home and we didn't have any mechanical lifts, if someone needed to be gotten out of be and couldn't do it themselves, you had to PICK THEM UP and put them in a chair. I'm a strong woman, I ain't even lying about it. Just because I don't go around running my mouth and gettin up in peoples faces doesn't make me a pansy! My parent's didn't condone fighting and if I ever started one I got whipped for it. I try to avoid physical conflict because it never really solves anything. Why would he say this to me? And why should I care? But I'm telling ya'll, it made me so mad!
Kat
and just because you are physically strong doesn't mean you can fight either . I hope you remember that before you go proving yourself to him.
poohbear
Some guys like to say stuff just to see if they can get a rise out of you....and maybe since he thinks his sister is so tough that she would beat him when they were younger..I wouldn't let it bother you, only you know your true strength others may think they do but your body reacts in different ways at different circumstances... Tony T
"Why would he say this to me? And why should I care?" My best guess is that he was joking with you or just making conversation. There is simply no way he could know who could beat who or who could be a fighter, you or his sister. I think you may be taking things way too seriously these days. Frankly, I think it's insane to watch two or more supposedly civilized human beings punching and beating on each other in an organized fashion until one, the other or both drop unconscious for the winner to be determined. It's absolutely crazy but people pay big bucks to see this. The question I would ask you is why is it so important who can beat the hell out of who? These were the sort of questions we asked of each other in the playground when I was in the second and third grade. I almost forgot about those days. And now, I wonder why I even cared then. hahaha
