momto3boys
Do people ever get back together after a bad separation? I still have some hope that he may change (he left me but he has issues from the army) and that aybe things will work out, but i dont even know if i want them to work out. Just curious if anyone has any separation success stories. how long were you separated? Howd you two decide to reconcile?
carhill
OP, I have no success story to share, but here's a post from an old member whose postings I came to respect telling his story of separation and reconciliation. Perhaps a perusal of his past posts might reveal other insight. Good luck

2.50 a gallon
mt3b Yes over my lifetime, I am retired, I have known of several such stories. One in particular involved a neighbor during my high school days, I do know that they were seperated for several months, reconciled, and remained together for the rest of their lives, including their 50 year anniversary On this board, it does happen, in the last year a male poster caught his wife cheating, he moved out to his own place, she too became a poster, wanting to reconcile and the last I heard they were patching things up Understand, once they start down the reconciliation road, they no longer need this board so disappear
scaredandalone1223
My husband and I separated for a month last year and have been happier than ever since our reconciliation. Feel free to read my back story. In our situation we had a lot of baggage from getting married young with an infant. The separation made us both realize how much we loved and needed each other. It was a new start....the dynamic of our relationship is completely different now. So YES it can happen!
marqueemoon4
obviously there has to be love and caring on both sides for this to happen. if its completely one sided it will never happen.
