If you are in the process of trying to keep her, then you need to no longer bullsh*t her. Don't sit there and try to downplay what you did to her by saying it was a mistake. Own it. It wasn't a mistake, you did it because you got horny and wanted to do your X. Own it, don't downplay it and insult your gf's intelligence by saying it was a mistake. Truth is, I rationalised it back then to fit my circumstance. Yes, I wanted to be with the "new girl" but I was still in the process of breaking up with my ex and there was still a lingering sentiment there. Bulls**t. If you were still in the process of breaking up with your X, then you had no business developing a relationship with the "new girl". Thats just downright cruel to the new girl. My gf forgave me. But she won't forgive me again. We managed to get past it because we're strong and love each other. I won't make that mistake again. I know you won't make that mistake again, because it wasn't a mistake in the first place. If she forgave you and bought the idea that it was "just a mistake", then its on her now. I wish her good luck and hope that you do not betray and disrespect her again. Now I have the possibility that I have a child to contend with, though... And I'm not even saying that his gf, even though he states she has already forgiven him(to which I'm sure thats not 100%), that he can't be forgiven. Just don't try to pawn it off as a mistake.
