Are "good girls" treated the same way as "nice guys"?

What this person means by nice is someone like her. Someone who shares her values and views. Now that is not what most of us think of as a "nice" person but it's almost the definition of a conservative "born again Christian" to think of anyone who does not share their POV as being hellbound and a child of Satan. (i.e. In their point of view a devout Catholic saint, like mother Theresa, would not be "born again" and so "wicked")

That's not a criticism just read what these people say themselves.

___________

Leaving that aside.

Yes there are people in the world who are truly nice weather Christian or not. They do unto others as they would like others to do unto them.

To people who are not nice that makes those truly nice people fools, chumps or lap dogs. They think that such people are only nice because they don't have the power to be mean and tell people to eff off. Unfortunately for the world this is the way most people are. They follow the other golden rule: "He who has the gold makes the rules."

For obvious reasons the two kinds of people I have described don't generally date eachother. Often the first kind, the truly nice, seem to loose out on quantity but due to their genuinely good nature, when paired with a similar person, they get quality relationships.

I'm noticing, the nicer you are, the more you believe in love, the less likely you are to get into a relationship.

why is the world so dark and cold?

nice girls/ guys finish last. so true.

Perhaps not relevant to the discussion, but it appears the OP has been banned/suspended, so direct questions probably will go unanswered. I note this because of the lack of 'established' prior to 'member' and that the OP does have the required days and posts for established membership. Further, the last post by OP is probably telling.

Hopefully the discussion has been helpful :)

Yes, that does shed a lot of light on things.

Thanks for that.

I can't feed much negative connotation into being a 'nice' person. You soon find out who is genuinely nice and who is just being complicit when difficult days come!

Take care,

Thanks Carhill.

I'd already noticed this too.

Makes you wonder when OP will ever learn.

It'd be interesting to see what incarnation she comes up with next...

Well why don't you date conservative Christian's instead of looking to settle down a "bad boy"?

because who wants to date their carbon copy?

What's a good girl?

not promiscuous... looking to settle down... family oriented... cares more about school work and work than partying...

the female version of a "nice guy"

From what I've seen, the thing that makes nice guys absolute refuse to women in the dating world is their willingness to treat women with respect and give them attention without making the woman fight for it through a fog of douchebaggery.

If the same attributes apply to nice girls, then no. It has already been said. Jerks, arseholes, and just plain bad guys swoop in on those types and turn on the charm for the easy lay by pretending to care, and being willing to indiscriminately lie ( where a good guy would not ) to get their way. And the nice girls end up falling for it because their faith in humanity hasn't been burned to a crisp.

Not to say nice girls are naive or gullible, just saying the fact they try to be nice makes them prime targets for manipulative guys wanting physical release. Whereas the manipulative women target nice guys for emotional release instead.

That actually makes sense. Sad to say, but nice people, in general, tend to get treated like doormats.

No, that doesn't sound like somebody that guys would pass over. That's not the equivalent of a nice guy at all.

The only guys who wouldn't want a "good girl" are the players and guys who like to party.

There's a difference between a nice person and a doormat. You can be a nice person and still have a back bone. And the qualities you listed above can be attributed to girls who have simply grown up and grown out of the "party" phase. They're not that rare. And as somedude said, doesn't sound like the type of girl most guys would pass up the chance with.
