Jenna
Just because two married people do not have children- it does not mean that their marriage shouldn't be taken seriously. It doesn't give others the right to step into an affair situation- just because there won't be any children hurt by it. A married couple IS a family- of 2 people- their relationship is just as valid as a couple who has 5 children. I am not speaking out because someone stepped on my "childless toes"- I actually have 2 children- and a husband. BUT- if my husband and I were to suddenly lose our kids- or had never decided to have them in the first place-I would not feel any less like a family- my marriage would be JUST as valid is it is today. People are entering into affairs with married people and using the fact that they don't have kids as a way to justify their lack of morals. Jenna
Tony T
In case you just landed on earth, people find lots of ways to justify their immoral and tasteless behaviors. There are a lot of sick people that occupy this planet, and a lot of great ones as well. But so very many people look for every reason in the book to rationalize their insanity and their sin. I guess it's just human nature.
Jenna
For as long as I have been on this Earth- and as long as I still have to be here- I will NEVER understand. I don't WANT to understand- and I certainly hope that it is NOT human nature to act immorally. I hope that there are only a few who intentionally live by low standards- and purposely set out to damage the lives of others- to satisfy their need for revenge. I would rather believe that people as a whole are created to be good and compassionate. That when they fall it is because of unintentional bad judgement-a moment of weakness -or lack of knowledge- not lack of feeling. I know that there are people in the world who take great pleasure in creating misery and pain for others- but lets hope that it is not human nature that causes them to be that way- because we are all driven by human nature- and I would hate to think that you or I or anyone we know and love is capable of spiteful revenge and intentional infliction of suffering on another human being. As I have seen a post strike a nerve in you on occasion- please try to understand how this one today made me feel. Its as if marriage isn't hard enough these days- on top of everything else we must over come-we also have to put up with vengeful mistrisses -who think it is their place to "teach the cheater a lesson"- what will be next? Deejette
I hope it is not within human nature to act immorally, but I have been the recipient of too many married men's attentions to accept that most people are motivated by integrity. Starting from a very young age, married men have come on to me, unprovoked by sexy behavior on my part (especially when I was 12 and 13, and a skinny stick of a girl at that). When I was married, that never stopped men from hitting on me and now that I am not married, married men ask me out or want to have affairs with me. It has caused me to have a jaundiced view of guys, marriage and a basic lack of trust in lots of them and the institution of marriage. Even a police officer, whom I thought was happily married to a friend of mine, pinched my butt at a party and tried to put his arm around me and kiss me. I won't even go into teachers, college professors, and bosses, all of whom I had respect for and who proved to me that my trust in them was misplaced. I really don't know what to make of human nature after these experiences! For as long as I have been on this Earth- and as long as I still have to be here- I will NEVER understand. I don't WANT to understand- and I certainly hope that it is NOT human nature to act immorally.
