ShannonMI Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Ladies, what is the difference between the 3 categories of men (if any) when you use these terms to describe us? Is it appearance, is it behavior, or something less tangible, such as confidence or charisma? It's both appearance and behavior Cute: Baby faced or boyish, sweet personality, sex appeal Hot & super hot: Handsome, ripped body (muscles), charming, confident, nice personality, sex appeal And there are a lot more qualities for both, but I can't think of any more at the moment
somedude81 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I think men fall under these categories. Ugly Plain Cute Hot Women can be divided into the same brackets though the amounts are different. Most men are plain, with only small numbers in everything else. While for women, they have significantly higher numbers in cute and hot. In other words, there are more good looking women then their are good looking men.
Author mr_sexxxy Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Interesting. You think 'handsome' and 'hot' are more or less synonymous? I've actually only heard the term 'super hot' used a couple of times: once in reference to an athlete, the other to a celeb.

Yeah saying someone is cute is just like saying he's boyish or has a cute baby face. Saying a man is handsome gives it a whole other meaning and depth. I don't know. I could be talking out my @ss. Here are some examples: This guy would fall under HOT or SUPER HOT (at least for me) He's handsome, not "cute", has a killer body and is probably charming. If only I knew him. http://lifeissavage.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Joe-Manganiello.jpg http://www.malecelebnews.com/wp-content/images/2011/06/Joe-Manganiello-for-Muscle-and-Fitness-03.jpg He's from the show True Blood. ShannonMI Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 psh.....I could look like that if wanted:laugh:. Whatever its all photoshop anyway. Hahahahahahaha you could if you hit the gym. Any guy could. And there's no way those abs are photoshopped. That dude is 6 foot 5 and a wall of muscle. He's on True Blood. He's shirtless most of the time. You think they photoshop him on there too? Hahahahahahahaha some men are just muscle machines. Me likey:love:
blueskyday Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 (edited) "Cute" is "hot" in my book. For me, cute is the overall good-looking vibe that catches my attention. Cute is the guy I want to go hiking with, shop at Home Depot, and have sex with. "Super-hot" is usually only about the body and masculinity at its finest, with a testosterone-driven rugged masculine face. All that makes my knees weak and my will-power disappear. It's pure sexual desire. I don't want to shop with him, just sleep with him over and over again. I don't usually trust myself with "Super-hot" guys. I simply won't care about compatibility. Average guys can become "cute" if they are funny, sensitive, etc...and "cute" guys become "hot" if there is compatibility on other levels. I can't stop thinking about the guy from TrueBlood now. Thanks for those pics. Edited October 18, 2011 by blueskyday mental confusion

Cute is the guy I want to go hiking with, shop at Home Depot, and have sex with. "Super-hot" is usually only about the body and a very masculine, testosterone-driven rugged masculine face. Although it would be nice to feel that way about "super hot" guys, it usually isn't the case. It's a pure lust thing.
WhiteChocolate Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I don't deny that there are probably categories for men. However, personally when I see a guy I don't go, "Hmmm, he's...cute. Or maybe hot. Actually...let's say cute-hot." The first thing I think (judging him dating-wise) is "Dateable" or "Not." As I get to know the guy better, his "status" might change.

His physique is unreal. He must have a zero fat body. Absolute zero. There's no competing with that. I surrender.

I surrender. Yes, madly in love with him!! A big, big fan for sure. Yeah he's pure muscle. He must work out 24/7. He's newly single I've heard, so I may have to make a trip to LA.

ShannonMI Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Yeah, Debbie's dead. :D:D Yesssss on the show he's single and in real life too! He just broke up with his fiancé. I bet she's a sad, sad woman right now. You are a fan of True Blood I take it? Love that show. I love it because I love the whole vampire thing and of course because of all the smokin' hot men. It's also super racy. I call it vampire porn:laugh: I always need a cold shower after I watch it. Gotta love it:love:
azsinglegal Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I think men can be hot in several categories. I like dorky/geeky/funny cute guys for the most part. Cute guys have that "frat boy" look to them for me. Ball caps, baggy jeans, t-shirts. Cutie pies. I think frat boy guys are HOT. Big, muscle-head gym rats aren't hot to me. They seem like a lot of work to keep up with and into their bodies more than they'd be into me. I like clean cut guys and guys with long hair or Fabio-types which most folks would consider hot I'd pass on. I'll take dorky, cutie pies over beefy muscle heads anyday. And the whole "jersey shore" type...well, I'm a little old for that kinda guy.

I was skeptical because I thought the whole "vampire" thing had been beaten to death and driven into the ground but surprise, surprise--you ain't seen nothing yet. It's very funny at times and clever with its social commentary. I think Jason is a pisser especially. I'm sad the Sookie killed Debbie. I liked Brit Morgan and thought she had a lot of range. This season was great. My biggest laugh was when Eric got zapped by the witch and didn't know his ass from his elbow and accidentally called Sookie "Snookie". I had to play that segment about a dozen times for shi+s and giggles. He was so serious and he says "I know I'm a vampire "Snookie"..". Hahahahaha.

Yes True Blood is a fresh take on the whole vamp thing. And it's just so damn sexy! I've always loved vampires. Anne Rice's vamps being some of my favorites. True Blood just makes me love them even more. I was annoyed that Eric turned into a softie. I always loved him as the bad @ss viking. He's my second favorite male on that show. Alcide being #1 of course. And that fact that Sookie feel in love with him was CRAZY!! She always hated his guts!! Ok enough thread jacking.
Author mr_sexxxy Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Interesting. So cute, hot and handsome are synonymous very often. I guess that leaves 'super hot.'
ShannonMI Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Interesting. So cute, hot and handsome are synonymous very often. I guess that leaves 'super hot.' Hot and Super Hot are pretty much the same thing. The cute guys are approachable and ones we fall in love with and the Hot/Super Hot guys are just objects we often lust for from afar. Or sometimes we just go for it and get our freak on with them. Hahahahahahaha
AHardDaysNight Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 What about this dude? How would you describe him? http://www.craigharper.com.au/uploaded_images/geeky-guy-720318.jpg
Author mr_sexxxy Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 I notice sometimes women who seem strongly attracted just go cold if I ask them a personal question. Maybe they were expecting one thing and got another? lol
