FelicityShot
Oh tell me the truth about love! Some say love’s a little boy, It’s innocent and dirty And some say it's a bird, Takes you to new heights Some say it makes the world go around, As does money Some say that's absurd, The disenfranchised And when I asked the man next-door, Whom I fell in love with Who looked as if he knew, He loved me back His wife got very cross indeed, BS And said it wouldn't do. No interpretation required When it comes, will it come without warning Yep Just as I'm picking my nose? You will feel caught out and ashamed of who you are, unless you’re au fait with that Will it knock on my door in the morning, Everyday like a pneumatic drill in your backyard Or tread in the bus on my toes? It will hurt Will it come like a change in the weather? Yep Will its greeting be courteous or rough? Both Will it alter my life altogether? By all things holy, I think you’ve got it! O tell me the truth about love. Something light-hearted from WH Auden to help us forget the 'he loved me he loved me not...'

You made me smile and I thank you. Gentlegirl
OpenBook
My personal favorite: Will it knock on my door in the morning, Everyday like a pneumatic drill in your backyard One thing I will give it - it is relentless. Regardless of what you do (or don't) about it, it still comes at you and envelopes you and WON'T LET GO. There is no stopping it.
