Ok, heres the thing.... There is no doubt in my mind that I am in love with this girl, we met last summer, we hung out almost every nite, we had so much fun together..we got really close and became best friends.. I think about her all day long, she is the first thing i think of when i wake up and the last before i go to bed.. But anyway, the problem is.. when i told her that i liked her, and asked her out, she told me that she never thought of us as anything more than just friends, and she turned me down.. it hurt, and that was about a month ago, and i can't stop having feelings for her, i dont know what to do, some of my friends told me to try to get over her, but i dont know if i want to get over her, we remain real good friends, i dont think she knows i still love her though. Soo, should i try to get over her? or should i follow my heart and not give up on her? Why do u think she turned me down? Any idea on what she might be thinking? I was really expecting her to say yes, or i probably wouldnt have asked..Someone pleeease give me advice, anything will help...Thanks!

How should I know or anyone else here for that matter "why she turned you down"??? We don't know her. But what I do know for sure is that you may ask her and maybe get an honest answer. Then if it is something that can be remedied ... you may work it out.

I have heard of stories where people were persistent and it ended up paying off for them. YOu have to make that choice.

But I will tell you the number one reason for a woman not wanting to go out with a guy is because she is not attracted to him. You just need to find out if that is the case here.

So just get your nerve up and ask.

You can ask her why she feels that way, but the bottom line is, getting an answer to the question will not change her feelings.

If you really like her I would suggest builing a solid friendship with her. In time she may develop feelings for you. The first guy I was ever engaged to I wasn't attracted to, but we wound up in a relationship for 3 years so you never really know.

Be you, don't put all of your eggs in one basket - but if you really like her, stay friends. You never know how things will turn out in the end.
