Ooo, enjoy your outing to the mall!

Mike? What are your goals, if I may ask.

Just to try to be more social as I have alot of insecurities about how I look, my arms, teeth, etc.

Today I went out to the local shopping centre and I purchased a meal and a dvd (Scream 4) from a video store. I talked to the nice young cashier. She smiled and brushed her hair back and I actually said "Have a nice day" without any panic or stuttering, of course I was quite when I said it but baby steps.

This is what I wore today, I dont look good in it so beware. Im down to 203lbs now so Im happy.

You're a normal looking guy, I don't feel society would ever deem you "ugly" by any means. At your height, around 200 pounds is average. You look fine man, I know decent looking women who date pretty ugly looking guys, so trust me, you can do fine with just some confidence and self esteem.

Have you ever done something out of your comfort zone to gain confidence and self esteem? For example, martial arts.

Well, the weight loss is a great start.

And you look fine in the picture you last posted.

I'm not sure what you don't like about the outfit, as you look slimmer than 203 lbs, and I think the hoodie helped.

Good luck!

Continued progress.

You're average looking, man.

Other than changing up your glasses, I can't see anything that you can change.

Have you attempted to change little by little before?

thank you but I just got those glasses. Lol, they are 10 x better than the 1999 style I was wearing before. I decided to move to 2011 with those glasses but in about a year I will get a new pair when my plan renews.

And to ken, I have never attempted to change before the past few months as I was content on being a loser before.

I doubt you were ever a loser. Well do your thing, I hope you are pleased with the results. I will be following along, but I will recommend maybe trying to dive into something, like martial arts when you feel a little more ready. It can really help.

I went out but felt a little bad and embarrassed so I quickly left the mall with my head down. I hope to try it again.

Dude, CBT and medication. It helps me go out and socialize, although it hasn't helped me with girls (yet.)

The cool thing about the mall is that you can be a lone wolf. So many people are there, that nobody really pays attention to you, or to anyone outside of their social circle.

If you're there with friends, though...man, they want you there! They invited you, so they seek your companionship.

Malls are cool, if you go there with a purpose. Like, if I want the new Rush DVD, I'll go to the CD/DVD/books store inside my local mall, search around, and find it. However, if I just go there and I mill around, not really having any reason to be there...man, that can be depressing.

Put the hop back in shopping. ;)

Mike,

Have you ever thought of trying Toastmasters?

I think any kind of public speaking class could do you wonders.

give it a shot!

you then owe it to yourself to google it.

Being able to make public speeches confidently is a great skill to have, and will spike your confidence in other areas of your life. look into it
