Most people are horribly mean to other people and are insanely selfish. Its not even safe for me to go anywhere at night by myself, and Iive in a "good area". I consider life a curse. When I was younger an adult (most notably guys) could go anywhere (especially at night) and he would feel relatively safe. We live in a 'chav' culture now (I blame hip hop music) and now when you run into a group of young guys (especially in another town) you're ****ting yourself. Most of todays rap/Hip Hop glorifies violence and it's massively popular and it's not safe to go anywhere yourself anymore. You go anywhere yourself and you're seriously at risk of ending up in hospital. Both are great rappers, who have strong anti-violence leanings. They rap about violence on the streets, but it's a positive message, not negative. Where I live it's actually quite common for you to get what we call a 'kicking' if you stroll into another town at night (especially if you're all by yourself). My bro went out of town and stupidly came back late at night and gang of youths battered him. Now that was unheard of when I was young. Society has become increasingly more unstable over the years. Towns have become much more anti social. If you ever heard of this stuff you only use to hear of it happening in cities. Not that long ago I had about 20 of them at my door because I hit one of them for throwing a brick through my bathroom window. These guys are well liked within the communities, they have the most friends, extremely popular among the women -- heck even the 'civilised' like them. They go on to have families (wives and kids). He goes to prison, gets released and not a dent on his reputation. WTF? Some guys get off lightly. Some people have receive hate for silly things -- this guy had too much earwax, he ended up having to commit suicide to get away from it all. He ended up a total loner. Ok. This is the self improvement section though.. All in all it sounds like you have anxiety of some sort. Hope you are getting help for this. If not do so. If you don't eventually it should calm down on it's own but may take longer. I can honestly and without hesitation say that it is not only your family who are safe bases within the world. There are a lot of people who are GREAT to be around. It could be that you are just a very insular person who is scared all the time by things many can brush off. The key is to be able to put yourself into someone else shoes. Until you are able to do that, you will be trapped. Many will butter it up but that is the real deal. Regardless of how bad your situation really is, and I don't think it's nearly as bad as you claim it to be, your mental state is ****. You need to change your way of thinking if you ever want things to get better. Go out and take some self defense classes if you're so paranoid about taking a beating.
