I feel like having two girlfriends is not right, or is it okay?

I have a lover who I met 9 months ago. She is not pretty or sexy, but she is a great person and she loves me deeply.

 

I met another girl 3 months ago and I tried to break up with my former girlfriend. We both were sad that we had to end our relationship. She told me that she wanted to at least remain friends and I allowed at least that. However, our relationship never ended and we are still sleeping together whenever we have a chance.

 

I spend most of my time my new girlfriend and she doesn't know that I'm seeing or anything about my former girlfriend. My new girlfriend is prettier than my former, but not as intellectual. She also love me dearly and once told me that she will never share me with another girl.

 

Personally, I don’t want to have a close relationship, because, I was divorced two years ago and I'm not ready to taken on a full blown marriage type relationship.

Having two good friends and sex is great, but I feel like it’s not right to have two girlfriends. I don't know what to do.

It's fine as long as both girls are very clear that you do not have an exclusive relationship with them, and that you are sleeping with/dating others.

 

It doesn't sound like you've had "that talk." You need to do it.

If everyobody knows, it's OK with me. But clearly at least one person doesn't know. Be fair and give both young women a chance to choose whether or not they want to "man share".

Open relationships can be ok if everyone involved is ok with it. However, typically it seems there is someone involved in the equation who wants more and it ends up being disastrous. If girlfriend #2 doesn't know you are still involved with girlfriend #1, you are well on your way to disaster. Better get it out in the open now.
