Shasta Posted May 21, 2004 Share Posted May 21, 2004 This is going to be kinda long, but I need to get this off my chest. Sorry for the sentence fragments!! I met this guy in Phoenix months ago. He works on an NHRA drag racing team and lives in SC. We had a conversation in phoenix and he asked me if I would want to go to Vegas if he could get me tickets. I said yes and gave him my phone number so he could call me. (BTW, he had been to my hometown for testing but I didn't get to talk to him then.) He called me the following Sunday and told me that he had gotten tickets for me to go to the Vegas race. I told him that I would like to go but I wouldn't have enough money to get my own hotel room, etc. I had just enough money to go greyhound. He told me that I could stay with him. Well, I went out there and had a great time. We clicked and it was wonderful. We would wake up in the morning and he would tell me that he loved waking up with me, etc. When I had to leave, I was pretty crushed, but I knew I would be seeing him again soon. It will be about two more months before I get to see him again. That will be in Sonoma. I talk to him a lot on the phone, and he tells me he misses me and he thinks about me a lot. I would love to be in a relationship with him, but I don't know how to really tell him that. I don't want to scare him off. I was thinking about it the other night, and if he asked me to go and be with him, I would do everything in my power to be with him. He is the only person right now that I truly want to be with. Every other guy just doesn't seem right for me. I don't know what to do. It seems like I'm wasting away, thinking about something that might not ever happen. To me, it seems like it could happen, but I don't know what he feels. What I'm really getting at, is if you guys think I should tell him, or if I should just leave it alone and see what happens in Sonoma? I'm so confused. And my heart hurts. Write about it in your journal and talk to your friends, but don't pressure him and things will be better. BTW - women tend to fall in love faster than men. It was great just being able to explain how I feel for this guy. I talked to him last night and he told me "I love to hear from you. I don't know how to describe it, you just make me feel good". I, myself, am partial to the Prestone/Fram Air Hog guys, because well obviously I am dating their crew guy! I get to sit in the pits and go to the starting line with them. I gotta say, that is the most awesome experience in the world! I got a whole bunch of free shirts and sweatshirts. If Clay Millican is there, support him as well!!!
